Lesson Objectives
By the end of the lesson, the student will be able to:
1. Greet the teacher in Arabic using simple phrases (e.g., السلام عليكم، مرحبًا).
2. Introduce themselves using simple sentences:
o اسمي …
o عمري … سنوات
o أنا من …
3. Recognize and translate these sentences into English.
4. Respond correctly when asked about their name, age, and country in Arabic.

Procedures
1. Warming up / Lead-in (5 mins)
• Teacher greets the student warmly in Arabic:
“السلام عليكم! كيف حالك اليوم؟”
• Shows a short visual slide or animation of a cartoon character saying:
“مرحبًا! اسمي علي.”
• Teacher asks in English: “What do you think he said?”
• Explains that today’s lesson is about how to introduce yourself in Arabic.

2. Presentation (10 mins)
• Teacher presents three key phrases with pictures on PowerPoint slides:
o 👧 اسمي ليلى. → (My name is Laila)
o 👦 عمري ست سنوات. → (I am six years old)
o 🌍 أنا من مصر. → (I am from Egypt)
• Repeats each phrase slowly, clearly, and gestures to illustrate meaning.
• Student repeats after the teacher several times.
• Teacher writes the Arabic and English sentences side by side on the shared screen and explains meaning (following the Grammar–Translation Method).

3. Practice (10 mins)
• Repetition & Substitution Practice:
o Teacher says: اسمي علي.
o Student repeats, then substitutes their own name: اسمي محمد.
• Translation practice:
o Teacher says in English: “Say: My name is … in Arabic.”
o Student replies: اسمي …
• Continue with “I am six years old” and “I am from Egypt.”
• Use flashcards or on-screen visuals showing numbers and countries for support.

4. Production (10 mins)
💻 Online Activity: "Introduce Yourself Show"
• Teacher says: “Now, you are the teacher! Introduce yourself to me in Arabic.”
• Student says full introduction:
“مرحبًا! اسمي … عمري … سنوات. أنا من …”
• Teacher gives positive feedback: “Excellent! أحسنت!”
• Then the teacher asks simple comprehension questions:
o ما اسمك؟
o كم عمرك؟
o من أين أنت؟
• Student answers independently.

4- Training on the beginnings of speaking the language (level 3a)

Course Curriculum and Teaching Staff:

Course Performance and Summative Evaluations:
1- Performance: is an evaluation at the end of each level for the student aged 5-8
2- Summative: is an evaluation at the end of each level for the student aged 9 and 10

Completion of each level requires a minimum 50% passing grade. upon which students receive a completion certificate.

Course Admission Requirements and Preconditions:
1- Age: children aged "5-10"
2- Course Curriculum Resources: downloadable student E-books
3- Academic and Ethical Standards: advanced level registration requires passing previous level exams and good morals.
4- Parental/guardian Involvement: continuous supervision in collaboration with the teacher.
5- Absence Limit: maximum three consecutive sessions.
