Egypt Fashion Week was another unforgettable highlight for the Fashion & Textile Printing Program!
Our students continued to inspire with their interactive workshops on natural dyeing, upcycling, and recycling with a fresh approach, new techniques, and a more hands-on experience that kept visitors fully engaged. The creative energy was at its peak!
One of the day’s standout moments was the stunning display of student outfits in the main exhibition building. The pieces reflected the unique identity of our program a blend of innovation, cultural inspiration, craftsmanship, and sustainable thinking.
Visitors stopped, admired, photographed, and praised the talent and vision behind every design.
The feedback was overwhelmingly positive, with many noting how the students’ work brought a fresh, modern perspective to the event.
A special thank you to Prof. Sherif Hassan, Dean of the Faculty, for his continuous support and his keen commitment to attending and encouraging all program activities.
We also extend our sincere appreciation to Mrs. Yasmine Helal, Ms. Mariam Hussein fashion designer Anna Arena from the GTEX MENATEX project for their ongoing support, which plays a major role in strengthening our connection with the fashion industry.

We’re thrilled to share the amazing participation of the Fashion & Textile Printing Program at Egypt Fashion Week on Friday, November 28!
Our students represented the program in the best way possible — with a bold, creative, and modern fashion showcase that truly reflected the fresh spirit of our young designers. Their work highlighted what makes our program stand out:
innovation, craftsmanship, sustainability, and a strong eye for trends.
Not only that — our talented students also led hands-on workshops on natural dyeing, upcycling, and recycling, showing how sustainability can be both smart and stylish. ♻️🎨
Their ideas, energy, and skills grabbed everyone’s attention!
The feedback from the audience was incredible, with many praising the program’s active participation, strong presence, and inspiring vision for the future of fashion.
Proud of our students… and this is just the beginning!

Workshop Highlight

We were thrilled to host the inspiring workshop “Letters in Style: Arabic Art Meets Fashion”, which offered our students a unique creative experience.

The session beautifully connected the art of Arabic calligraphy and ornamentation with fashion design, showing how traditional aesthetics can inspire modern textile and fashion concepts.

The workshop was rich with diverse and innovative design implementation ideas, encouraging students to experiment with new techniques and creative directions in fashion.
It was an engaging and enriching experience that inspired students to blend heritage, art, and contemporary fashion in fresh, original ways.

A heartfelt thank you to the talented artist Mostafa Saqr for leading this wonderful workshop and sharing his creative vision with our students.

كلية الفنون التطبيقية بجامعة حلوان تنظم المعرض التعريفي بالبرامج العلمية

نظمت كلية الفنون التطبيقية جامعة حلوان المعرض التعريفي بالبرامج العلمية للكلية، بهدف تسويق البرامج الجديدة ، وذلك تحت رعاية الدكتور السيد قنديل رئيس جامعة حلوان ، وريادة الدكتور حسام رفاعي نائب رئيس الجامعة لشئون التعليم والطلاب ، وإشراف الدكتور شريف حسن عميد الكلية، و الدكتورة نهلة عبد المحسن وكيل الكلية لشئون التعليم والطلاب، والدكتورة مروه خفاجي وكيل الكلية لشئون خدمة المجتمع وتنمية البيئة .

وتأتي هذه البرامج العلمية المتميزة لتجسد رؤية كلية الفنون التطبيقية بجامعة حلوان في الجمع بين الإبداع الأكاديمي والتطبيق العملي، حيث تراعي أحدث الاتجاهات العالمية في مجالات التصميم والفنون التطبيقية، وتفتح آفاقًا جديدة أمام الطلاب للمنافسة في سوق العمل المحلي والدولي. إن تنوع هذه البرامج يعكس حرص الكلية على إعداد خريجين قادرين على الابتكار والإسهام الفعّال في تطوير الصناعات الإبداعية والتكنولوجية، بما يعزز من مكانة الكلية وريادتها بين الكليات المتخصصة.

وتأتي البرامج كالآتي:

• برنامج علوم تصميم الأثاث بكلية الفنون التطبيقية جامعة حلوان يهدف إلى توفير مناخ تعليمي وابتكاري وبحثي مناسب في تخصص الأثاث وعلومه، إلى جانب تنمية قدرات الطالب من الناحية العلمية والمهنية والتطبيقية في علوم التصميم المختلفة، كما يعمل على الارتقاء بالفكر التصميمي للمصمم في مجال فن الأثاث لزيادة القدرة التنافسية، وهو برنامج بنظام الساعات المعتمدة والدراسة باللغة الإنجليزية.
• برنامج تصميم الإعلان الرقمي بـ كلية الفنون التطبيقية، فهو برنامج يهدف إلى تخريج مصمم إعلان رقمي قادر على تقديم الحلول المتكاملة للمشكلات التصميمية في هذا المجال من خلال تطبيق استراتيجيات الإبداع والتقنيات مع توظيف العلوم المرتبطة بما يحقق المراقبة للمتغيرات الحديثة وتلبية احتياجات سوق العمل في ضوء أخلاقيات المهنة.
• برنامج الموضة وطباعة المنسوجات بكلية الفنون التطبيقية جامعة حلوان أول برنامج بيني يجمع بين قسمي الملابس الجاهزة والطباعة والصباغة والتجهيز، وتكون الدراسة باللغة الإنجليزيةويهدف البرنامج أيضًا إلى تنفيذ ومراقبة الجودة في مجال طباعة المنسوجات وصناعة الملابس في المصانع، وتخطيط الإنتاج والتسويق في مجال الموضة، والعمل على حل مشكلات الصناعة باستخدام البحث العلمي.
• برنامج علوم التغليف بكلية الفنون التطبيقية جامعة حلوان برنامجًا جديدًا متميزًا ومطورًا ليلائم التطورات التكنولوجية الحديثة في مجال تصميم وإنتاج العبوات، وما يميزه عن برنامج البكالوريوس الحالي أنه يحتوي على حزمة من المقررات الحديثة التي تعمل على تأهيل خريج البرنامج ليواكب التطورات الحديثة في مجال التغليف بمرجعية عالمية للجامعات المتخصصة في مجال التغليف، والتي يتم تدريسها باللغة الإنجليزية بشكل أساسي والعربية.
• برنامج الوسائط المطبوعة، والذي يعد برنامجاً جديداً ومطوراً ليلائم التطورات التكنولوجية الحديثة في مجال صناعة الطباعة والصناعات المرتبطة بها،ويهدف البرنامج إلى إعداد مصمم وسائط مطبوعة مبدع ومتميز في مجال تصميم وإنتاج المطبوعات باختلاف أنواعها، مؤهل لحل المشكلات الصناعية في البيئة المحيطة وتلبية متطلبات سوق العمل من خلال ممارسة الابتكار الفني والأبحاث العلمية والتطبيقية بهدف التطوير المستمر.

• برنامج تصميم وتشكيل الزجاج في العمارة يهتم بدراسة كل ما يتعلق بكل تطبيقات الزجاج في العمارة، سواء من حيث التصميم والتنفيذ، وكذلك إلقاء الضوء على كل ما هو جديد ومستحدث من أنواع الزجاج المستخدم في العمارة الداخلية والخارجية، كالزجاج الذكي المقاوم للرصاص، والزجاج العاكس، وكافة المظاهر اللونية على الأسطح الزجاجية.
• برنامج التصميم الداخلي الإيكولوجي، وهو برنامج يختص بعلوم التصميم الداخلي وارتباطها بالبيئة،ومن أهم أهداف البرنامج أيضًا تنمية قدرات الطالب من الناحية العلمية والمهنية والتطبيقية لعلوم التصميم الإيكولوجي المختلفة، والارتقاء بالفكر التصميمي للمصمم في مجال التصميم الداخلي لزيادة القدرة التنافسية محليًا وعالميًا، بالإضافة إلى المحافظة على التراث والثقافة والنهوض بالمفهوم والقيم التصميمية القومية، وتمكين الطالب من مهارات العمل المختلفة بالطرق التقليدية والتقنية الحديثة بما يتوافق مع مبادئ الاستدامة.

✨ A Memorable Guest Lecture at the Fashion & Textile Printing Program ✨

On Thursday, October 2nd, 2025, our students had the privilege of attending an outstanding lecture delivered by Prof. Dr. Nahed Baba under the title "NEXT-GEN FASHIONDESIGN".
The session was truly inspiring and highly valuable, offering deep insights into how Artificial Intelligence is transforming the fashion industry and shaping the future of fashion design, runaways and presentations.
We extend our heartfelt thanks and sincere appreciation to Dr. Nahed for her great effort, dedication, and generosity in accepting our invitation and sharing her expertise with our students. Her presence and knowledge enriched the learning experience of our program immensely.

✨ Graduation Collection: Siwa-Inspired Stories ✨

“This fragrance treated soiree dress reimagines evening elegance, fusing modern silhouettes with Siwan motifs details to create a piece that feels both bold and nostalgic.”
“After drawing the design and settling on the final fabric garment, satin, I created the pattern to be used. I designed the print pattern using Adobe illustrator, and sketched the design by arranging Siwan motifs copied from Siwan Bride’s Viel to fit within the real scaled pattern. Using laser printing I engraved stencil sheets and after cutting the pattern pieces on the satin fabric, I employed red flock printing to give a natural and soft feel to the fabric. I located the prints on both cuffs, the back and the front. Finally the garment was assembled and sewn togther. I then embroidered silver stones in specific areas to add the shine and luster to the garment.”
“As for textile finishing, I employed Fragrance technology. Using jasmine oil and alum as a mordant, I steamed the essential oil onto the fabric, treating only unprinted areas.”

Through sewing, dyeing, and hand embroidery, I explored the power of craftsmanship and storytelling in fashion. These garments are more than clothes — they’re a tribute to the soulful spirit of Siwa and a reflection of my growth as a designer.
