Our talented students continue to impress and raise awareness through meaningful storytelling! 👏🏻🎬

Under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Wessam Nasr, Dean of the Faculty of Mass Communication, and under the supervision of Dr. Sherif Muwafy, instructor of the "Fine Arts" course, students are exploring profound historical and cultural themes, bringing global academic conversations into the spotlight through creative filmmaking that reflects our rich identity.

Art of Egypt is a documentary project where our students explored the richness of Egyptian art and craftsmanship by visiting key cultural and creative spaces. Through this journey, they documented how heritage, community, and modern artistic expression come together to reflect Egypt’s identity.

A big thank you goes to Dr. Sherif Muwafy, course instructor, and Dr. Fayrouz Abdelmaboud, course TA, for guiding and supervising this brilliant documentary project!

Through their documentary “Rosetta Stone”, they shed light on the vital importance of preserving cultural heritage and historical identity, highlighting how losing touch with our roots can affect a society's pride, unity, and future development.

Under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Wessam Nasr - Dean of the Faculty of Mass Communication - Cairo University, the screening and discussion session of the films produced by first-level students at the Faculty of Mass Communication was held today as part of the “Introduction to Cinema” course.

The students’ projects were supervised by Prof. Dr. Bassant Mourad - Professor of Radio and Television and the Course Instructor, and Ms. Aya Shoukry - teaching assistant of the course.

The session was honored by the presence of Prof. Dr. Heba Nouh - Assistant President of Cairo University for International Branch Affairs, Dr. Marwa Mahmoud, Assistant Professor of Radio and Television and the Academic Supervisor of the Faculty of Mass Communication at the International Branch; and Dr. Sara Khater - Academic Coordinator of the English Program at the International Branch.

The session was also attended by a distinguished group of directors, including Mr. Ibrahim El-Sayed and Mr. Ahmed El-Sayed Abdel Halim.

During the session, students presented a diverse collection of films they had produced throughout the second semester, reflecting remarkable creativity, technical skills, and storytelling abilities. The attendees praised the students’ efforts and the high quality of the projects, considering the session an inspiring step in nurturing a new generation of promising filmmakers and media creators.
