Weβve had an incredible first term at Dahab Hope
π our little school has grown from having 3 children to 7 π§ π§
π weβve settled all into school life and learned so much as both students and teachers π©βπ« π©βπ π§βπ
π weβve loved getting to know our students and watching them develop and grow, in both their academic and their social skills π βοΈ πββοΈ
π weβve gotten to know the wider Dahab Hope community of parents, grandparents and siblings πΆπΌπ¦π»π§π©π½π¨π½π΅πΌπ΄π»

This last week we have been looking back at the things we learned. We recapped:

We finished with a lovely end of term party with our children and their families and lots of delicious food and celebrated the progress each child has made π₯³ π π π² π° π πͺ

π Over the last week we:
β‘οΈ continued with numbers, adding the number 5οΈβ£
β‘οΈ looked at the colour blue and talked about different things that are blue π΅ ππ
β‘οΈhad story time with a story about a rabbit family and the importance of listening to our parents π π§βπ§βπ§βπ§ π
β‘οΈlooked at different types of transportation and made our own little boats β΅οΈ π¦ π π π²π¦
β‘οΈ had two very special four pawed visitors that we were able to feed and stroke π° ππ₯¬ π₯
β‘οΈwe did outdoor painting on big sheets of paper π¨ π§βπ¨
β‘οΈ had lots of time to make our own choices during indoor play 𧩠and outdoor play πββοΈ π
β‘οΈfinished our week by making popcorn πΏ
Now we will enjoy our weekend and look forward to being back for more fun and learning with our amazing students next week! π₯³ π΄ βοΈ π

Over the last 2 weeks at Dahab Hope, we have been busy learning and having fun together! βοΈ
β‘οΈWe continued to study numbers, focusing on 3οΈβ£ & 4οΈβ£
β‘οΈWe looked studied sea creatures, including turtles and octopuses π π’ π
β‘οΈWe looked at different colours, including green, red and yellow πβ€οΈπ
β‘οΈWe did various crafts relating to our themes, like painting outside and colouring our own octopuses π
β‘οΈ We had time to make our own choices and decide what indoor activities 𧩠π¨ βοΈ and outdoor activities we wanted to do π πββοΈ π₯ π΄
β‘οΈ We expressed our creativity making shapes using play-doh
β‘οΈ We also iced biscuits with coloured icing and made brightly coloured jelly to practice our colours π΄π΅π’π‘
We are going to enjoy our weekend and look forward to being back together for more fun learning next week! π₯³β‘οΈπ π΄

β‘οΈWe designed our own T-shirts ποΈπ
β‘οΈWe learned how to wash our own trays, a very practical life skill 𧽠π«§π§΄
β‘οΈWe continued to talk about emotions - what can I do when Iβm sad? π π’
β‘οΈWe had lots of fun creating some paintings and doing bird themed crafts π¨ π¦ ποΈ βοΈ
β‘οΈWe finished the week by making some yummy cookies together π₯£ πͺ
πA great week and weβre excited to be back again tomorrow π₯³ π

Last week at Dahab Hope we studied the number 2οΈβ£
We also looked at the colour red π΄
We practised tracing βοΈ and had lots of fun using play doh
We talked about emotions and talked about how to deal with feeling angry π‘ π€
We looked at the plants outside and helped to water them π³ π± πΊ π¦
We loved playing on our new set of swings and generally playing outside ππ΄βοΈππββοΈ
We finished our week by making delicious lime juice πβπ© π
We loved learning and playing together and are already enjoying this new week π

We also did colouring and tracing, practising using a pen ποΈ ποΈβοΈ π«

We had lots of time to play outside ππ₯ πββοΈ π βοΈ
We enjoyed playing inside too! 𧩠𧸠πͺ
We made oaty date biscuits πͺ π§βπ³
And celebrated a birthday! π ππ₯³π

This last week we looked at the important topic of personal hygiene including washing, cutting our nails and washing π§Ό πΏ
We practised brushing teeth πͺ₯ π¦·
We continued to look at healthy habits like exercise πββοΈ π€ΈββοΈ
We started introducing classroom items π ποΈ βοΈ π
We created numbers in playdoh and practised using a our drawing and tracing skills, as well as using a pen ποΈ 1οΈβ£2οΈβ£3οΈβ£4οΈβ£5οΈβ£
For our food activity of the week, we made mini pizzas π π
We are excited to be back again tomorrow π₯³π€©

A smashing week at Dahab Hope with our wonderful students π
We read stories together π π π
We discussed the very important topic of healthy food and how to make our plates balanced and nutritious π₯¦ π₯π₯π π π§ π₯ π₯ π π
We looked at different movements like sitting, standing, walking, running and jumping π§π»ββοΈπββοΈπΆπ
And had lots of fun indoors and outdoors! π π€ΈββοΈ π³ 𧩠π¨ βοΈ π

Last week we continued looking at the weather π¦οΈwe learned about rainbows and got to make our own π
We also talked about the difference between summer and winter βοΈ π³ βοΈπͺΎ
We practised our prewriting skills and did some tracing βοΈ ποΈ βοΈ γ°οΈβΏ
We had playtime both indoors π§Έπ 𧩠and outside (we love making sand ice cream in our sandpit!) π¦πβοΈπ΄π€Έ
And we made friends with Noni the Sheep and did some themed crafts π
To end the week, we made a healthy and nutritious fruit salad and practised our cutting skills π π₯ π₯π πͺπ§βπ³
Weβve had a great weekend and are happy to be back today!

We worked on developing our English language skills and progressed with our pre writing skills βοΈ π π π
We met Sokar the Chick and did some themed crafts π₯ βοΈ
We had time to choose what activities we wanted to do 𧩠and plenty of outdoor time too ππ΄ βοΈ π€ΈββοΈ
We finished our week by making delicious pancakes π₯ π― π
Now we will enjoy our 3-day weekend before more fun next week! π€© π₯³
