Meet Our Head of Lower School

Katrina brings extensive international experience leading IB schools across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.

Currently serving as Head of the Institute of Learning and Teaching at the International School of Geneva, Katrina will join Dwight School Cairo from Switzerland in August and is already looking forward to becoming part of the Cairo community.

Her approach is simple but powerful: when children feel safe, known, and genuinely cared for, they flourish.

She is passionate about personalized learning and about partnering closely with families to create a school environment where children feel a true sense of belonging.

Malak knows that choosing the right school for your child is one of the biggest decisions a family can make, and she takes that trust seriously.

With 15 years in international education, including a decade working internationally, she brings a strong understanding of both global standards and the expectations of families in Cairo.

As a founding member of Dwight School Cairo, Malak is committed to making every family’s admissions journey feel personal, transparent, and genuinely supportive from the very first conversation.

We’re looking forward to welcoming Dianne Drew, Head of School at Dwight School New York and Global Education Director for Dwight Schools, to Cairo next week.

With more than three decades of experience across leading international schools, Dianne brings a truly global perspective on education. Her work with the International Baccalaureate has helped shape educational thinking at a global level.
