A Tribute to Ms. Hanan

As we celebrate 25 years of Kiddie Land, our hearts turn to the people who gave this journey its true meaning, the teachers who poured their love and patience into generations of little ones.

One of them is Ms. Hanan, a colleague who became more than a sister to us, and an angel to so many children and parents who knew her. She joined Kiddie Land over two decades ago as a French teacher and soon became the gentle heart of our infant and toddler classrooms. Her calm presence, grace, and endless kindness made even the most troubled child bloom with confidence and joy. In every classroom she entered, peace followed.

Those who work in early childhood education know how rare it is for a preschool team to stay together year after year. At Kiddie Land, we are grateful that many of us have shared this journey for over 20 years growing, laughing, and learning side by side. We are more than a close loving family.

Today, as Ms. Hanan faces a difficult health journey, our thoughts and prayers are with her. Her legacy lives in every smile, every confident child, every family that felt her warmth.

She reminds us that behind every thriving preschool is not just some toys or a building but hearts like hers.

تكريم للأستاذة حنان حسن 💕

بينما نحتفل بمرور ٢٥ عامًا على كيدي لاند، تتجه قلوبنا إلى الأشخاص الذين منحوا هذه المسيرة معناها الحقيقي المعلّمات اللواتي قدّمن حبّهن وصبرهن لأجيال من الصغار.

من بينهن حنان حسن، زميلة أصبحت أكثر من أخت لنا، وملاكًا في نظر العديد من الأطفال والأهالي الذين عرفوها. انضمّت إلى كيدي لاند منذ أكثر من عشرين عامًا كمدرّسة للّغة الفرنسية، وسرعان ما أصبحت القلب الهادئ لفصول الرُّضّع والصغار. حضورها الهادئ، ورقتها، ولطفها اللامتناهي كان كفيلًا بأن يجعل حتى أكثر الأطفال حساسيةً وثقلًا ينفتحون بالثقة والفرح. في كل فصلٍ دخلته، كان السلام يتبعها.

الذين يعملون في مجال الطفولة المبكرة يدركون كم هو نادر أن يبقى فريق الحضانة متماسكًا عامًا بعد عام. في كيدي لاند، نشعر بالامتنان لأن العديد منّا شارك هذه المسيرة لأكثر من عشرين عامًا ننمو ونضحك ونتعلّم جنبًا إلى جنب. نحن أكثر من أسرة مترابطة ومحبّة.

واليوم، بينما تمر حنان برحلة صحية صعبة، تتّجه أفكارنا ودعواتنا إليها. إرثها باقٍ في كل ابتسامة، وفي كل طفلٍ واثق، وفي كل عائلة شعرت بدفئها.

إنها تذكّرنا بأن وراء كل حضانة مزدهرة لا يوجد مجرد ألعاب أو مبانٍ، بل قلوب مثل قلبها.

Time passes, but the beautiful impact remains. Every experience at Kiddie Land® was a love story between childhood and learning. 🌿 🩵

A lovely testimonial from Ms. Myriam Raymond:

Twenty-five years ago, when Kiddie Land had just opened its doors, my elder daughter Marine spent almost two years there in the English section with Ms. Hanan Hassan. I chose the nursery because it belonged to a dear friend Rania Omar, whose pedagogical skills I trusted completely for little ones.

I still treasure the small daily booklets where every detail was noted meals, naps, playmates, even the tiniest observations. As a very busy mom, those notes gave me immense reassurance. Marine was always cared for with attention, always kept clean, and always engaged in something meaningful. She loved going each day.

One of my biggest worries was her sleep. Marine had always struggled with bedtime, and I feared daytime naps would leave us both awake all night. The Kiddie Land team handled it with such thoughtfulness: short, perfectly timed naps that gave her the rest she needed while still letting her sleep peacefully at night. Thanks to them, we both enjoyed more restful evenings.

What I appreciated most was the respect for her individuality. As a tiny baby, Marine preferred quiet moments to large groups. The team understood this and gently helped her move from small circles to larger ones at her own pace. Step by step, they nurtured her character and needs.

There were delightful excursions too, always with impeccable care and safety. And above all, Ms. Hanan was a truly dedicated and charming instructor who left a lasting mark on Marine’s early years.

Even today, whenever I drive by, I remember the remarkable support I received for my child no compromises. Kiddie Land will always remain in my memory with warmth and gratitude.




منذ خمسةٍ وعشرين عامًا، عندما فتحت كِيدِّي لاند أبوابها لأول مرة، كانت ابنتي الكبرى مارين من أوائل الأطفال الذين التحقوا بها، حيث قضت ما يقارب عامين في القسم الإنجليزي مع ا. حنان حسن. اخترت الحضانة لأنها كانت مملوكة لصديقةٍ عزيزة عليّ، رانيه عمر، التي أُقدّر مهاراتها التربوية وأثق بها تمامًا في رعاية الصغار.

ما زلت أحتفظ حتى اليوم بالكتيبات الصغيرة اليومية التي كانت تُسجَّل فيها كل التفاصيل وجباتها، أوقات نومها، أصدقاؤها في اللعب، وحتى أدق الملاحظات. وبصفتي أمًا مشغولة جدًا، كانت تلك التفاصيل تبعث في نفسي راحةً وطمأنينةً كبيرة. فقد كانت مارين دائمًا تُعتنى بها بكل اهتمام، نظيفة، سعيدة، ومنشغلة بأنشطةٍ مفيدة وممتعة. كانت تحب الذهاب كل يوم.

من أكثر ما كان يقلقني في تلك الفترة هو نومها؛ إذ كانت مارين تواجه دائمًا صعوبة في النوم ليلاً، وكنت أخشى أن تجعلها القيلولة في الحضانة مستيقظة طوال الليل. لكن فريق كِيدِّي لاند تعامل مع الأمر بحكمةٍ واهتمام بالغين، فكانت قيلولتها قصيرةً ومنظمة تمنحها الراحة التي تحتاجها، وفي الوقت نفسه تتيح لها أن تنام بهدوءٍ في الليل. وبفضلهم، استمتعنا معًا بأمسيات أكثر راحة وهدوءًا.

أكثر ما قدّرته هو احترامهم لفرديتها وطباعها الخاصة. فمنذ أن كانت رضيعة، كانت مارين تميل إلى الهدوء وتفضّل المجموعات الصغيرة على الزحام. وقد فهم الفريق ذلك تمامًا، وساعدها برفقٍ على الاندماج تدريجيًا، خطوة بخطوة، وفق وتيرتها الخاصة، فدعموها بطريقةٍ تُناسب شخصيتها واحتياجاتها.

كما كانت هناك رحلات رائعة مليئة بالمتعة، نُظّمت بعناية فائقة واهتمام كبير بالأمان. وفوق كل ذلك، كانت ا. حنان معلمة مخلصة وساحرة الشخصية تركت أثرًا جميلًا في سنوات مارين الأولى.

وحتى اليوم، كلما مررت بجانب كِبدِّي لاند، أتذكّر الدعم الرائع الذي حظيت به لطفلتي ، دون أي تنازل عن الجودة. ستبقى كِدِّي لاند دائمًا محفورة في ذاكرتي بكل المحبة والامتنان.

"I’m so proud of my friend, Rania, for building all of this from scratch, developing it, and watching it grow day by day. When I worked with the lovely team there, and it never felt like just a job, it felt like being part of a big family.

We always gave the children the very best, cared for them as if they were our own, and thought of their needs with the same love and attention we would give our kids. It’s really wonderful to find a place that is safe and clean and the children are cared for, and surrounded by people who genuinely love them.

✨25th Anniversary Celebrations ✨

We believe childhood is where the story begins. We are grateful to Mr. Sherif Morcos - International School Principal - for trusting us with his children and for continuing to be part of our ever-growing family.🩵 Here are his heartfelt words about his family’s experience with Kiddie Land:

“It is such an honor and privilege to share my heartfelt review in celebration of 25 years of Kiddie Land—a nursery that holds a special place in my heart and gave my children an incredible start in life.

As an educator, former headmaster of Manor House Schools, and most importantly, a father of three beautiful children, I have always believed that early childhood education lays the foundation for a child’s future success. Choosing the right
nursery is one of the most vital life decisions a parent can make in the early stages of a child’s life, and looking back, I couldn’t be more grateful that I chose Kiddie Land for my children.

When I enrolled them in the early 2000s, I wasn’t just looking for a daycare for my kids to spend the day—I wanted a place that would educate, nurture, and instill confidence in them. Kiddie Land went beyond my expectations, providing:
1. A safe and caring environment
2. A strong foundation for learning and confidence
3. A warm and engaging community for both children and parents
4. A caring, dedicated, and attentive team of educators
5. Interactive Activities that fostered friendships (My daughter especially loved the field trips)
6. An environment built on love, dedication, and passion for early childhood development.

Even mealtime was handled with careful consideration meeting the needs/dietary restrictions of all children. Kiddie Land went beyond just serving snacks—they provided fresh, home-cooked meals that made the children feel at home. My kids still talk about how much they loved their molokhiya with rice and chicken—a small but meaningful part of their experience that truly left a lasting impression and allowed them to feel like Kiddie Land was their second home.

Looking back, I can confidently say that the strong start my children had at Kiddie Land helped shape who they are today. Monica, now 26, completed her MBA at UC Riverside and works in marketing, while Mark, 24, is in his third year pursuing his PharmD studies at USC—one of the most prestigious institutions in California. Their success today is a true testament to the incredible foundation they received at Kiddie Land.

On a personal note, my wife Randa and I would like to thank Rania Omar for her exceptional leadership. As a mother herself, she truly understands what it means to shape young minds and has built a nursery that feels like home for so many families. وبالنظر إلى الماضي، أستطيع أن أقول بثقة إن البداية القوية التي حصل عليها أطفالي في كيدي لاند ساهمت في تشكيل شخصياتهم وما أصبحوا عليه اليوم. مونيكا، التي تبلغ الآن 26 عامًا، أنهت دراستها للـ MBA في جامعة UC Riverside وتعمل في مجال التسويق، بينما مارك، 24 عامًا، في سنته الثالثة للحصول على شهادة الـ PharmD في جامعة USC—إحدى أعرق الجامعات في كاليفورنيا. نجاحهم اليوم هو شهادة حقيقية على الأساس المميز الذي تلقوه في كيدي لاند.

From the very beginning, Kiddie Land has been home not only to our little ones, but also to the amazing teachers who bring joy, love, and learning to life every day.

Today, we’re happy to share the reflection of one of our beloved team members, Kiddie Land’s very own “butterfly,” who spread joy wherever she went. 💛 Hardworking, committed, and adored by all the children, she was a true social butterfly who still took her mission as an educator seriously, eager to learn and grow.

It’s this spirit of care, trust, and belonging, where teachers feel valued, children feel at home, and everyone’s voice matters, that has kept educators inspired for decades without losing their passion. And it’s what makes Kiddie Land a place of love, growth, and lifelong memories. 🌿

I’m truly very, very happy to be celebrating Kiddie Land’s 25th anniversary.
I was lucky to start my career at Kiddie Land, it was one of the most important milestones in my life.

🔸How was your experience at Kiddie Land?
I met Rania Omar, and honestly, she taught me everything and introduced me to a whole new world. I was really inspired by her and her way of thinking. She always believed Kiddie Land had to be at the top and always up to date.
I feel that if I hadn’t started this way, I wouldn’t have continued in the field.
I realized that being a teacher is a mission, not just a profession.

🔸Our continuous quest for growth
25 years ago, Montessori wasn’t even known in Egypt. But she was very eager to learn more, so we went and took courses. She was so passionate about offering the very best to the children, and I was deeply inspired by that.

🔸25th anniversary celebration
I’m so happy with everything Kiddie Land has achieved, and I was really touched watching videos of my “kids”, the students I taught 25 years ago, who still remember me to this day. When you give love, when you put effort into your work and give it wholeheartedly… it’s truly worth it.

من البداية، كانت كيدي لاند بيتًا ليس فقط للصغار، بل أيضًا للمعلمات والمعلمين الرائعين الذين يملؤون أيامنا بالحب والفرح والتعلّم.

واليوم يسعدنا أن نشارككم كلمات واحدة من أفراد فريقنا الأعزاء , "فراشة" كيدي لاند التي نشرت السعادة أينما ذهبت. 💛 مجتهدة، ملتزمة، ومحبوبة من كل الأطفال. ورغم أنها كانت اجتماعية ومرحة، إلا أنها أخذت مهمتها كمعلمة بكل جدية، وكانت دائمًا متعطشة للتعلّم والنمو.

هذا الجو من الاهتمام والثقة والانتماء, حيث يشعر المعلّمون بالتقدير، والأطفال وكأنهم في بيتهم، وتُسمَع فيه أصوات الجميع, هو ما جعل المعلمات يبقين معنا لعقود دون أن يفقدن شغفهن. وهذا ما يجعل كيدي لاند مكانًا مليئًا بالحب والنمو والذكريات التي تدوم مدى الحياة. 🌿

أنا مبسوطة جدًا جدًا إنّي أحتفل مع كيدى لاند بالذكرى الـ25.
كنت محظوظة إني بدأت رحلتي العملية في كيدى لاند، وكانت من أهم المحطات في حياتي.

🔸كيف كانت تجربتك في كيدى لاند؟
قابلت رانية عمر، والحقيقة إنها علمتني كل حاجة وعرّفتني على عالم جديد تمامًا. اتأثرت جدًا بيها وبطريقة تفكيرها، كانت دايمًا شايفة إن كيدى لاند لازم تكون في مكانة عالية ولازم تواكب كل جديد.
يمكن لو مكنتش بدأت بالشكل ده، مكنتش هكمل في المجال. حسّيت فعلًا إن إنك تكوني معلمة ده رسالة مش مجرد مهنة.

🔸رحلة النمو المستمرة
من 25 سنة، مكانش في حاجة اسمها "مونتيسوري" بالشكل المعروف دلوقتي، لكنها كانت حريصة جدًا إنها تتعلم أكتر، ورحنا أخدنا كورسات. وكانت دايمًا عايزة تقدّم الأفضل للأطفال. أنا فعلًا استلهمت منها كتير.

🔸الاحتفال بالذكرى الـ25
مبسوطة جدًا بكل اللي حققته كيدى لاند، واتأثرت قوي لما شوفت فيديوهات لأولادي اللي درّستهم من 25 سنة ولسه فاكريني لحد دلوقتي. لما بتدي حب ومجهود في شغلك وبتدي الحاجة من قلبك… بيكون له قيمة كبيرة فعلًا.

🔸كلمة أخيرة…
كيدى لاند، كل سنة وإنتوا طيبين… وإن شاء الله للاحتفال بالـ50 سنة القادمة.

When Preschool Feels Like Home 🌟

We’re honored to share a warm and personal story from Ms. Amani Hafez, one of Egypt’s best aerobics instructors, and one of our most devoted Kiddie Land parents. 💛

From the very first day, her children felt at home with us. She recalls the warmth, trust, and care that made all the difference, and the joy of watching her little ones flourish.

Back then — just as now — Kiddie Land was known for its frequent adventures beyond the classroom, with trips on a monthly basis. She was among the few parents who rarely missed a single one, always ready to share in her children’s excitement.

Thank you for trusting us with your most precious years, and for being such a special part of our Kiddie Land story. 🩵

“They were beautiful years, and I remember Leylah she had a huge smile on her face.”

🔸How Was Kiddie Land Different?

“So when I took him to the first nursery, they said I have to spend do a week with him. So I told the teacher ,“ See if you can just befriend him”, and this was not happening. One day I opened the car door and said, “Come on Bobo. Let’s go.” He said, “I’m not going”.

A friend of mine told me about your nursery, and that’s when I went I see it. I was just going to visit and when I went, it didn’t take half an hour. He clicked with the teacher. He started playing, and he was perfectly fine.”

🔸What Made You Feel Your Kids Were In Good Hands?

“It’s that the owner is the person who is so warm and loving, and you don’t let anyone be part of your staff unless they have these qualities. And I think that, for me, that was the most important thing. To feel like my kids are gonna be safe. That is why I was happy and not worried about them, because I know that if he cried, nobody is just gonna stay quiet and leave him.”

🔸What Did You Like Most About Kiddie Land?

“I loved that you were organized and friendly and clean.

And you were doing cooking..You had all types of activities: the coloring, the painting, all of that was happening without the feeling of schooling, because they have 12 years of schooling, but this, for me, was like the first step out of the house.

So thank you. “

🔸كيف كانت كيدي لاند مختلفة؟

"عندما أخذته إلى الحضانة الأولى، قالوا لي إنه يجب أن أقضي معه أسبوعًا كاملًا. فقلت للمُعلمة: «حاولي فقط أن تصادقيه»، وهذا لم يكن يحدث. وفي يوم فتحت باب السيارة وقلت: «هيا بوبو، نذهب». فقال: «لن أذهب».

"أن المالكة هي شخص دافئ ومحب، وأنك لا تسمحين لأي شخص بأن يكون ضمن فريقك ما لم يكن لديه هذه الصفات. وأعتقد أن هذا كان بالنسبة لي أهم شيء — أن أشعر أن أطفالي سيكونون في أمان. ولهذا كنت سعيدة وغير قلقة عليهم، لأنني أعلم أنه إذا بكى، فلن يقف أحد صامتًا ويتركه."

🔸ما أكثر ما أعجبك في كيدي لاند؟

"أعجبني أنكم منظمون وودودون ونظيفون.

وكنتم تقومون بأنشطة الطبخ... كانت هناك جميع أنواع الأنشطة: التلوين، الرسم، وكل ذلك كان يحدث دون الشعور بأنه تعليم مدرسي، لأن أمامهم 12 سنة دراسة، أما هذه بالنسبة لي فكانت أول خطوة لهم خارج المنزل.

As we celebrate 25 years of Kiddie Land, we’re honored to share this meaningful reflection from a special parent of the Kiddie Land community.

Ms. Eman first joined us as a parent here in Egypt, entrusting her children to our care. Years later, after moving to Dubai, she became a certified teacher herself.

In this sincere message, she shares what made Kiddie Land stand out, not just as a preschool, but as a nurturing, values-driven community that left a lasting impact.

“It was like a home away from home for him.

He was always so happy and eager to go. In the mornings, I would say to him, “If you don’t brush your teeth and make your bed, you’re not going to nursery today.” So he’d do it, because he wanted to go to Kiddie Land.

We actually chose to keep him in KG1 there instead of sending him straight to school."

🔸Comment as an Early Years Educator: “A curriculum ahead of its time…”

"I realized that Kiddie Land was doing things that weren’t very common in Egypt at the time. They were actually following the early years curriculum with activities like cooking, art, and fun physical games. So the kids were developing their fine and gross motor skills without even realizing they were learning.

They also placed a big focus on learning through singing.

At Kiddie Land, they often took the children on garden walks to explore nature and learn how different things around us are useful and connected to our lives."

"As a mother, I personally felt very comfortable with them right from the start. The staff was incredibly friendly and transparent. That really reassured me. For example, if Omar ever had a bad day or was upset about anything, they would always tell me, they never hid anything.

They were also very inclusive of the mothers. They always involved us in the activities and welcomed us warmly. If we ever wanted to come join a singing session or take part in an activity during the day, we were more than welcome."

🔸...تعليق من مُعلّمة الطفولة المبكرة: "منهج متقدّم عن وقته"

أدركت أن كيدي لاند كانت تقوم بأشياء لم تكن شائعة في مصر في ذلك الوقت." كانوا بالفعل (منذ عام 2000) يتبعون منهج التعليم المبكر (الذي أُنشئ في عام 2005)، مع إضافة أنشطة مثل الطهي، والفن، والألعاب البدنية الممتعة، مما ساعد الأطفال على تطوير مهاراتهم الحركية الدقيقة والكبيرة دون أن يشعروا أنهم يتعلمون.

كما كانوا يركزون كثيرًا على التعلم من خلال الغناء.

في كيدي لاند، كانوا يأخذون الأطفال كثيرًا في جولات داخل الحديقة لاستكشاف الطبيعة والتعرف على كيفية استفادتنا من الأشياء من حولنا وارتباطها بحياتنا."

كأم، شعرت براحة كبيرة معهم منذ البداية. كان أفراد فريق العمل ودودًا للغاية" وشفافًا، وهذا طمأنني كثيرًا. على سبيل المثال، إذا كان عمر قد شعر بالانزعاج من شيء ما، كانوا دائمًا يخبرونني، ولم يخفوا عني أي شيء أبدًا.

كما كانوا مرحِّبين جدًا بأولياء الأمور، ودائمًا ما يشركوننا في الأنشطة ويستقبلوننا بحرارة. إذا رغبنا في حضور جلسة غناء أو المشاركة في نشاط خلال اليوم، كانوا يرحبون بنا دائمًا."

Here's another touching reflection from one of our special Kiddie Landers. 🩵

Zeina El Saady, Kiddie Land graduate and now a graphic designer and artist, takes us back to the warmest, happiest days of her childhood.
She loved it so much, she chose to stay an extra year rather than leave for school.

Reflections like hers remind us that our program is not just about learning, it’s about belonging, values, and memories that last a lifetime.

"Every morning, I was excited to wake up just so I could go to preschool.
It helped me learn how to connect with people, because I was always surrounded by so many kids, and we were all close friends. So by the time I finished preschool, I knew how to make friends easily and talk to people, and I wasn’t like that at all before Kiddie Land."

🔸Fondest Memories:
"Lunch time and nap time… they had the best food in the world. And nap time was one of my favorite parts because we got to relax after ALL the activities."

🔸Teachers' Impact:
"Of course, Ms. Rania… of course Ms. Rania and Ms. Dida. Ms. Rania, to me, was like a mother, she was everything.
And Ms. Dida always came to play with us. We were very attached to her. I remember being with Zeina Abdallah (Sisi), and we were always stuck to her, we didn’t want to leave her. And she always took such good care of us.

To me, Kiddie Land was truly very, very special. Days I will never forget."

As we continue celebrating 25 years of Kiddie Land, we’re sharing another special story from someone who grew with us.

A Parent. A Teacher. A Lifelong Member of the Kiddie Land Family.

Ms. Ayat El Meligy first joined Kiddie Land as a college student, full of heart and dedication. We had the joy of watching her grow and bloom into an inspiring educator.

After many years of teaching, she moved on, got married, and became a mother. And not long after, she returned, this time as a cherished parent.

In this touching reflection, she shares what made Kiddie Land feel like a second home. From Montessori-based learning and nature bonding to a deep commitment to teacher growth and child development, she reminds us of what makes our program truly special.

"I don’t know where to start…

Kiddie Land was always like a second home and a second family to me, even until now.

After I started working there, I discovered that it was one of the leading preschools that genuinely focused on the skill development of the children. It was also one of the leading preschools that applied Montessori education principles in its curriculum.
The curriculum, honestly, was amazing, covering all areas of development, and in a fun way too.

[Kiddie Land] also cared deeply about creating a bond with nature. Every day had to include a garden session, not just for play, but for observation and meditation as well. The children would sit and watch what was happening in the garden, what the insects were doing…
There were a lot of hands-on activities, and the kids were engaged in all of them.

Ms. Rania was very selective when it came to teachers. Also, something that was not really common at the time, she was not just selective, but she truly cared about the development of the teachers.
She was always organizing workshops for them, always sending them to trainings so they could stay up to date and have techniques on how to deal with different kinds of kids and different personalities.
That was something really important, and honestly, I don’t think any other preschool was doing so.

All the staff, not just the teachers, were working wholeheartedly for the children. They were truly trustworthy in how they dealt with the kids. From the doorman all the way to Ms. Rania, truly, thank you for the integrity with which you treated the children, and thank you for every beautiful memory you left with them."
