Admissions are Open at Al Farouk International School
At Al Farouk International School, we are proud to deliver a world-class education through the rigorous framework of the International Baccalaureate (IB)as a PYP candidate school and a New Brunswick offshore highly performing one. In alignment with the latest IB Teaching and Learning Guides, our curriculum is meticulously designed to nurture inquiring, knowledgeable, and caring young people.
Our curriculum is organized to ensure depth and breadth across all subjects. Following the New Brunswick and IB’s approaches to discipline-specific objectives, we focus on:
· Language & Literacy: We guide students through the phases of language acquisition—from emergent to fluent communicators—emphasizing conceptual understanding, critical literacy, and the reciprocity of reading, writing, listening, and speaking.
· Mathematics: Mathematical competency is developed through five strands: Number, Pattern & Function, Data Handling, Measurement, and Shape & Space. Students progress through phases of complexity, moving from concrete exploration to abstract application, fostering inquiry-based problem solving.
· Science & Social Studies: Delivered through transdisciplinary units, these subjects are structured around key strands (such as Living Things, Earth & Space, and Human Systems in Science; or Human Systems & Economic Activities in Social Studies) that spiral in complexity across the PYP (Primary Years Programme) and MYP (Middle Years Programme) phases.
By adhering to the latest IB pedagogical principles—concept-based learning, approaches to learning (ATL) skills, and assessment for learning—we ensure that every student is empowered to become a self-regulated, lifelong learner.
