عن أبي هريرة رضي الله عنه قال: قال رسول الله ﷺ: يقول الله عز وجل: أنا عند ظن عبدي بي، وأنا معه حين يذكرني، إن ذكرني في نفسه ذكرته في نفسي، وإن ذكرني في ملأ ذكرته في ملأ هم خير منهم، وإن تقرب إلي شبرا تقربت إليه ذراعا، وإن تقرب إلي ذراعا تقربت منه باعا، وإن أتاني يمشي أتيته هرولة. رواه مسلم

This beautiful hadith reminds us that Allah سبحانه وتعالى responds to our thoughts of Him and draws closer to us when we turn to Him. If we remember Him privately, He remembers us privately. If we mention Him among people, He mentions us among a better gathering—the angels. And when we take a step toward Him, He comes to us with greater closeness and mercy 💖

❌ Myth: Ghar Hira and Ghar Thawr are the same place.
✅ Fact: They are two different caves linked to two major events in Islamic history.

📍 Ghar Hira
Located at the top of Jabal al-Nour. It’s where Prophet Muhammad ﷺ used to worship before the Prophethood, and it’s the place where the first revelation was sent down by Jibreel عليه السلام.
📍 Ghar Thawr
Located in Jabal Thawr. It’s where the Prophet ﷺ and Abu Bakr al-Siddeeq رضي الله عنه took refuge for three nights during the migration from Makkah to Madinah until the Quraysh’s search calmed down.
🔹 In short: Ghar Hira is linked to the first revelation, while Ghar Thawr is linked to the Hijrah from Makkah to Madinah.

How to Truly Retain What You Memorize?

Especially when it comes to Qur’an, Hadith, or any Islamic text?
✅ The answer lies in 2 golden rules:
📌 1. Consistency
Don’t pause, don’t stop. Even short, regular sessions keep the flame alive.
The Qur’an sticks to the heart that visits it daily.
📌 2. Repetition
Repetition is the soul of memorization. Every time you repeat, Allah opens for you new meanings and deeper connection with the verses.
Allah says:
بَلْ هُوَ آيَاتٌۭۤ بَيِّنَـٰتٌۭ فِى صُدُورِ ٱلَّذِينَ أُوتُوا۟ ٱلْعِلْمَ ۚ وَمَا يَجْحَدُ بِـَٔايَـٰتِنَآ إِلَّا ٱلظَّـٰلِمُونَ
[Surah Al-‘Ankabut 29:49]

1️⃣ Silent internal review – best for those who’ve already mastered a portion
2️⃣ Loud repetition – read aloud to yourself daily for both new and old memorization
📌 Scholars recommend repeating a lesson at least 50 times.

“Whoever abandons repetition, forgets his memorization.”
💡 Don’t say “I already memorized it once” — say: “I’ll repeat it until it’s engraved in my soul.”

How Long Does It Take to Complete the Quran?
Is there a specific time frame for completing the Quran? 🤔
🔹 There is no fixed duration, but the best approach is what the Prophet ﷺ recommended. He advised Abdullah bin Amr bin Al-As to complete it in seven days, as many of the companions used to divide the Quran into seven parts and finish it within a week.
📆 How the companions divided their recitation:
📖 Day 1️⃣: Al-Baqarah - Aal-E-Imran - An-Nisa
📖 Day 2️⃣: Al-Ma’idah - Al-An’am - Al-A’raf - Al-Anfal - At-Tawbah
📖 Day 3️⃣: ... and so on until completion in 7 days
✅ It can also be completed in a month, twenty days, or even more, depending on one’s ability. However, it is not recommended to finish it in less than three days to allow proper understanding and reflection.
🛑 The most important thing is to recite the Quran with contemplation and devotion, rather than just rushing to finish it. The goal is to reflect upon its meanings and apply its teachings.
