We are delighted to share that we had the honor and the opportunity to host Dr. Ebtesam Fahmy, the Professor of Neurology, Faculty of Medicine, Cairo University, at the Inaugural Cognitive Screening and Cognitive Interventions in Egypt (CoSCIE) Conference. Dr. Fahmy gave an insightful presentation on Mild Cognitive Impairment, a condition that affects many older adults and can be a precursor to dementia. She discussed the latest research, diagnosis and treatment options for this common problem. We are delighted to share that we had the opportunity to host Dr. Nesma Gamal Elsheikh, a renowned expert in cognitive training, at the Inaugural Cognitive Screening and Cognitive Interventions in Egypt (CoSCIE) Conference. Dr. Gamal gave an insightful presentation on how cognitive training can be used as a non-pharmacological intervention for treating cognitive impairment in various populations. She also discussed the latest research and best practices in this field, and answered some of the questions from the audience. At the third and final day of the Inaugural Cognitive Screening and Cognitive Interventions in Egypt (CoSCIE) Conference. It was a productive and enriching experience for all the participants. We are honored to have had such distinguished speakers share their insights and expertise on various topics related to cognitive screening, assessment and intervention. We are also grateful for the lively and constructive discussions that took place among the attendees. We hope that this conference has contributed to the advancement of knowledge and practice in the fields of psychology, psychiatry, neurology and cognitive science in Egypt and beyond. We are delighted to share with you that we had the privilege of hosting Dr. Ahmed Elaghoury, a renowned expert in the field of Electroconvulsive therapy (ECT) and its cognitive effects, as our guest speaker today at the 2nd day of the Inaugural Cognitive Screening and Cognitive Interventions in Egypt (CoSCIE) Conference. He delivered an insightful and informative presentation on ECT cognitive impairment: the deserted area of health care, highlighting the challenges and opportunities for improving the quality of life of patients who undergo this treatment. We would like to thank him for his valuable contribution and for inspiring us with his knowledge and experience. It was an honor to have him with us today.
