The blessed day of jumah is nearly upon us

*Sending Blessings Upon the Prophet ﷺ and Its Impact on the Heart*

_“Whoever frequently sends blessings upon the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, Allah will illuminate his heart._

That is because sins darken the heart. When a servant commits a sin, a black dot forms in his heart. If he continues to sin, that dot grows until it blackens the entire heart.

But *if Allah blesses the servant’s tongue* with *sending salawat upon Muhammad* ﷺ, then *Allah will forgive his sins* — even if they are as heavy as mountains. Once his sins are forgiven, the darkness is lifted from his heart, and light begins to shine within it.” - Ibn al-Jawzī (raḥimahullāh)
