Example:
He's that rare bird, a bartender who doesn't drink alcohol.

to not have the result you want or expect, especially when this is embarrassing
Example:

from Shakespeare's Macbeth play.

Example:
After the last ten months, however, he now knows the world is his oyster and that he has more options than he would have once believed.

"the be-all and end-all"
The idiom comes from Shakespeare (Macbeth play)
It means the best thing, the most important thing about something so that you don't need to look for anything else.
Example:
- Look, money is not the be-all and end-all.
- The point is that calories aren't the be-all and end-all of
nutrition.

The largest part of something
Ex:
I earn a lot, but the lion's share goes for taxes.
