Aly Magdy Research Studio is delighted to introduce our heroes' projects via its latest workshop, "Dynamic". The workshop shows various projects based on generative thinking and algorithmic form-finding.

The workshop covers the computational design process's algorithmic process that generates various dynamic forms, and it communicates the progression from generative design thinking to design ex*****on approaches.

In only seven intense days, participants from multiple institutions had to overcome many challenges in order to generate well-dedicated designs with an aesthetic concept that fulfilled the workshop's objectives.

Aly Magdy Research Studio in collaboration with Mostafa El Baroody, have been working together to explore kitbashing and aggregate systems through two different approaches.A (fictional) approach experimenting with the aesthetic potential of a loose arrangement of elements in a speculative manner,and a (factual) approach examining the applicability of aggregate systems and exploring fabrication techniques through designing the connections and controlling the part to part relations of the aggregate elements.

"PIM" Workshop aims to explore multiple generative design strategies, manipulating computational architecture design with traditional design module.

DOM-INO unit proposed by Le Corbusier was the selected challenge for creating a generatively designed module, Hence, group of amazing participants with different disciplinary accepted this challenge by providing us with creatively designed proposals and showing their capability of using parametricism in architecture design nowadays. In addition, the advanced workflow between parametric design and BIM has been introduced to complete cumulative design projects

Aly Magdy research studio is pleased to introduce our heroes' projects through its latest workshop “Programmable Adaptive Skin”. The workshop presents various projects based on computational thinking and algorithmic form-finding.

Only through 7 intensive days.

The workshop concerns the generative process of creating different adaptive skins with a programmable process of design. conveying this process from generative design thinking to the design implementation methodologies.

Participants from diverse institutions come to join our community, they had to face multiple challenges in only 7 intensive days, to produce well-dedicated designs with an artistic theme that fulfils the requirements of the workshop.
