‎عمرك سمعت عن مصطلح "اجهاد الشارب" لدى القطط؟ طيب تعرف ان سببه هو الاحتكاك الدايم لشوارب قطتك باسطح اطباق الاكل و المياه الغويطة واللي بيؤدي لوجع من خلال الاعصاب (pain reflex) و عدم راحة.
‎تعالوا نعرف مواصفات الحالة دي ايه و اللي بجد هتشد نظركم لكتير من عادات القطط الغير مفهومة.

‎1. تفضل تنونو و تقيدك لمكان اكلها و اول ما تحط الاكل تبصله و ترفض تاكل و تمشي.
‎2. الفوضى حول مكان اكلها عن طريق محاولتها انها تخرج الاكل من الطبق عشان تاكله من الارض.. و ده تصرف لا يتماشى مع تصرفات القطط لانها في العادي نضيقة جدا و منظمة، و من هنا نفهم انها بتحاول توصل معلومة.
‎3. لو مثبت لها وقت للاكل عادة ما هتكون عدوانية جدا تجاه الاشخاص او اليفك التاني.
‎4. دايما تسيب بواقي اكل في اخر الطبق لو هو غويط، او ترفض تاكل الا لو كان الطبق مليان على اخره.
‎5. محاولاتها الهجومية على القطط الاخرى اثناء وجباتهم بمبدأ " لو انا مش هاكل محدش هياكل".

‎•و اخيرا في حل للحالة دي و هي انك تغير اطباق قططتك الضيقة و اللي فيها حواف عالية ممكن تلمس شواربها باطباق واسعة و عريضة و مريحة.. slide for pictures. (Whiskers friendly bowls)
‎و متنساش تبعد تماما عن الاطباق البلاستيك لانها بتحمع جراثيم.

Did you know that eating from a bowl that is too deep is the most frequent cause of whisker fatigue?
As a cat's sensitive whiskers rub against the sides of a deep bowl, it begins to hurt.

Some indications that your cat may suffer from whisker fatigue include:
1. Pulling food out of the bowl with a paw to eat it from the ground.
2. Messy eating, leaving food bits around the floor near the bowl.
3. Aggression toward other pets or people in the home around mealtimes.
4. Drag you to the kitchen and announcing that he’s starving, approaching the food bowl, but hesitating/ refusing to eat.
5. Refusing to eat the last bit of food in the bowl; demanding that it be kept full at all times.
6. threaten your other cats when they’re eating, as if to say, “If I can’t eat, then no one can”

Luckily, there’s an easy solution for whisker fatigue. Switch out your cat’s narrow, deep and small food dishes with “whiskers friendly bowls” wide, shallow, or even flat bowls. Make sure the dishes are wide enough to accommodate your cat’s whiskers. Steel, glass, or ceramic bowls are best; plastic bowls should be avoided, because, independent of the whisker fatigue problem, with every scratch, they can become magnets for bacteria.

My dog licks my face! What does it mean?
Dogs may lick your face for many reasons, including when they are hungry. Experts believe this behavior can be traced to the dog’s days as an infant. When hungry, some pups lick their mother’s nose and snout as a way of asking for regurgitated food. Pack members also lick each other’s faces as a greeting, a way to gather information, or as a sign of submission. So your dog may want to lick your face out of instinct or he may simply be trying to get your attention.

‎ايه المقصود لما كلبي يحاول ل*س وشي؟
‎في الواقع الكلاب ممكن تل*س وشك لاسباب كتير منها انها جعانة! يعتقد بعض الخبراء ان السلوك ده راجع لاسترجاع سلوكه و هو رضيع. لان طريقة لفت انتباه الكلب الرضيع لأمه انه جعان هو ل*س انفها. كمان في قطيع الكلاب او الcanines عموما، السلوك ده له اكتر من معنى.. كرمز للتحية، او تلقي /جمع معلومات، و ممكن يُعتبر رمز للخضوع!
‎و بكده نكون عرفنا ان السلوك ده ممكن يرجع لغريزة الكلاب او محاولة منهم للفت انتباهك.

بما ان شم النسيم قرب حابة اوضح حاجة مهمة جدا قبل ما تاخد الخطوة و تخاطر بحياتك و تاكل فسيخ.
طبعا كلنا عارفين انها عادة من زمان جدا، لكن للاسف هي وجبة خطيرة جدا ممكن تؤدي للموت. خصوصا ان كل سنة بنسمع عن حالة تسمم جديدة!

طريقة تحضير الفسيخ هي التجفيف الجيد بواسطة الشمس مع تخميره كويس جدا بملح لمدة لا تقل عن ٧ ايام. وللاسف بسبب كثرة الطلب عليه الايام دي، التجار بتقلل وقت تخميره و ده بيؤدي لحالة تسمم بواسطة باكتيريا تسمى clostridium botulinum.

غالبا ما بتكون ريحة الفسيخ مش غريبة عن ريحته الطبيعية، متقدرش تميز وجود الباكتيريا دي، و هي اصلا موجودة في امعاءه لكن لوجود الظروف المناسبة لتنشيطها بتشتغل بفاعلية.

اعراض التسمم هي؛ غممان نفس مع ترجيع (مش شرط)، زغللة، صعوبة في الكلام والبلع و التنفس، حالة من التعب العام.. وممكن توصل للموت!
الاعراض دي بتبدأ تظهر من ١٦ ل ٣٢ ساعة لكن في بعض الاحيان ممكن من ٦ ساعات او حتى ١٠ ايام!
لو انت بردو مصّر تاكل فسيخ بعد البوست ده اتأكد من انك تشتريه من مكان موثوق فيه، و اسلم حل هو انك تشتريه في اوقات الطلب عليه قليل يعني تبعد عن وقت ضغط شم النسيم خالص.

Symptoms of botulism can include nausea and/or vomiting followed by one or more of the following: double or blurred vision, drooping eyelids, dry mouth, difficulty speaking, difficulty swallowing, weakness, respiratory failure and paralysis. In severe cases, death can occur. Symptoms generally begin 12 to 36 hours after eating a contaminated food, but can occur as early as six hours or as late as 10 days after, so if you are not giving up feseekh, make sure to buy it from a trusted and reputable store.

* calves don’t need milk for as long as a cow produces it, so this excess milk is collected for human consumption. And once cows are milked, they quickly create more milk and need to be milked again.

تعرف ان عدم حلب البقر يزيد الضغط على ضلعها و يتسبب في الم شديد و اهماله ممكن يؤدي للعدوى او الانفجار؟

•من المهم جدا اننا نهتم بصحة و سعادة البقرة عشان تقدر تنتج لبن مثالي و صحي، في الحقيقة ان البقر بيستمتع بوقت الحلب و بينتظره! بيكون في وقت مخصص للحلب و مكان محدد البقر بيفهم ده و بيحفز نزول اللبن.

•في الواقع ان البقر بينتج حوالي ٨ جالون لبن يومياً و دي طبعا كمية كبيرة جدا لطفلها فا بعد رضاعته بينجمع اللبن المتبقي للاستهلاك البشري. و اول ما تتحلب البقرة بيبدأ يتجمع لبن تاني و يتصنع و بيكون جاهز للحلب.

•تعرف ان الكلاب تمتلك ١٨ عضلة في كل ودن بتساعدهم على تحريكها و تنقية وفلترة الصوت حولهم؟ بعض الدراسات اثبتت ان الكلاب اللي ودنها واقفة لفوق حاسة سمعهم بتكون ادق و احد..زي ودن كلاب الGerman shepherd، و من هنا عرفنا سبب من اسباب استخدامهم في الحراسة و التتبع. بينما يمتلك الانسان ٣ عضلات فقط!
مزايدة على الكلام ان القطط تمتلك ٣٢ عضلة في الودن الواحدة! (واللي طبعا عارفين بيستخدموها في تجاهلنا)

للأسف اغلب الناس بتفترض ان الدوا آمن على حيواناتهم الاليفة لمجرد انه آمن و فعال على الانسان، وده بيؤدي الى مشاكل قد تصل للموت لمجرد محاولة مساعدة من الانسان لتخفيف الالم.

مركب ibuprofen هو مركب مضاد للالتهابات و بيستخدم كمسكن و خافض حرارة للإنسان، ولكنه مع الاسف سام للقطط. و المركب ده يشمل ادوية كتير منها (كاتافلام، ادڤيل، بروفن و مالوكسيكام). اعراض تسمم ال ibuprofen بتبدأ في مشاكل في الجهاز الهضمي من حوالي ٢ ل ٦ ساعات من تناول الدوا، و لكن الاعراض الخطيرة ممكن تظهر بعد ٤-٥ ايام.
جرعات قليلة من الدوا بتؤدي لمشاكل في الجهاز الهضمي بينما الجرعات الكبيرة بتؤدي الى دمار الاعضاء و خاصةً الكلى (فشل كلوي).

•اعراض تسمم القطط بال ibuprofen تشمل:
-التقيؤ ممكن يكون دامي
-اسهال
-دم في البراز
-غثيان
-فقد الشهية
-فقد وزن ملاحظ
-قرح بالمعدة
-فرط تحسس
-زيادة ضربات القلب
-زيادة العطش و التبول مع قلة خروج كمية البول
-تشنج و رعشة
-غيبوبة او موت.
