What a beautiful story.

Kalolin Johnson - Gentle Warrior (featuring Devon Paul and Thunder Herney) 15/01/2026

TBT to a special project celebrating 10 years this week—showcasing incredible youth talent from Eskasoni First Nation and featuring Mi’kmaq rapper, Devon Paul. 'Gentle Warrior' was co-written and produced by EYM founder Carter Chiasson and Devon who also co-wrote and was the lead artist on EYM’s recent international song project, 'We Are the Love'. Huge congrats to Dev, Kalo, Thunder and the whole crew on a project that’s still inspiring and educating a decade later.

The EYM Project is thrilled to be on the list of community sponsors for this year's Royal Nova Scotia International Tattoo. This celebration honours Canada’s Armed Forces, RCMP, and other first responders and celebrates the heritage of Canadians’ contributions to national and international peace and stability.

Nicole and Carter ont eu l'honneur d'assister au spectacle d'ouverture du Royal Nova Scotia International Tattoo vendredi dernier. Ce fut une soirée exceptionnelle, démontrant collaboration et détermination, amitié et promesses.

We at EYM want to congratulate Devon Paul for being a part of this year's show and for sharing his song, We are the Love, with the world. This song honours our friendship and support towards Ukraine. You can check it out here ---> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eWL6cT_Kwsc&list=RDeWL6cT_Kwsc&start_radio=1

We also want to congratulate Emma Stevens Music on being this year's featured artist with the Commissionaires Nova Scotia. What an honour!

Huge congratulations to Emma Stevens from The EYM Project! Way to go, Emma — and best of luck at the Tattoo! Also, happy 100 years to The Commisionaires. We’re honoured and proud to be a part of this.

Music has the power to unite and inspire change. Through my partnership with Commissionaires Nova Scotia and the royaltattons, in addition to being an anthem for Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women, Children and Two-Spirited People, my song "I Want to Rise" becomes a call to stand together against human trafficking. Recognizing the signs and protecting the vulnerable is the best defence the public can offer.

I will be performing at the Royal Nova Scotia Tattoo at the end of the month, from June 27-July 1. You can buy tickets at https://nstattoo.ca/emma-stevens/
