K1B learners explored the concept of tall and short by cutting and sorting cube towers from shortest to tallest. They then used real cubes to build each tower, counting carefully to find how many cubes were needed. This hands-on activity helped students connect measurement with number sense through play and exploration.

Wrapping up our ‘How We Organize Ourselves’ unit, our little learners used creativity to design sunglasses for summer, exploring how clothing and activities change with the seasons.

We had a special visitor—a live tortoise! K2 B were thrilled to see and observe how the animal moved and ate. This hands-on experience provided a fantastic opportunity for discussion about the needs of living things, including food, water, and shelter, as part of our ‘Sharing the Planet’ unit.

AIA teachers engaged in a collaborative professional development workshop on lesson structure ideas. Sharing and discussing new techniques to keep our lessons continually on the forefront of educational theory and practice.

On the International Day of Education, we celebrate learning that goes beyond information, learning that encourages curiosity, critical thinking, and a deeper understanding of the world around us.

At AIA, education is a journey that shapes how students think, question, and grow.

G8 / 10 - French HL - Unit on Education- The students worked on an excerpt from a book. They analyzed the book cover in an interactive activity. Then, they began to extract details from this excerpt, which allowed them to get an idea about the text before reading it.

Grade 10 students are collaborating in groups to analyze a 1911 magazine cover, exploring the guiding question: How does the text use techniques to reinforce a certain ideology? To support all learners, they worked with a scaffolded worksheet that guided their analysis. This activity strengthens their analytical skills and prepares them for DP-style questions they will encounter next year.

DP 1 students revisited external growth strategies — including mergers & acquisitions, takeovers, joint ventures, and strategic alliances — through a collaborative, inquiry-based lesson designed to strengthen retention and differentiation of key business concepts. Using mind maps, Venn diagrams, and real-world scenarios, students developed ATL thinking, research, and communication skills, while embodying the IB Learner Profile attributes of thinker and reflective. Active, purposeful learning in action.
