لماذا نقول
Happy New Year
وليس
Merry New Year
🔹 كلمة Happy تُستخدم للتعبير عن سعادة طويلة المدى أو حالة مستمرة،
والسنة الجديدة معناها سنة كاملة مليئة بالأحداث، العمل، النجاح، والصحة.
🔹 كلمة Merry
تُستخدم مع المناسبات القصيرة المليئة بالفرح والاحتفال فقط، زي الضحك، الحفلات، والبهجة المؤقتة.
أمثلة:
✔ Happy New Year → سنة كاملة نتمنى فيها السعادة
✔ Merry Christmas → مناسبة واحتفال ليوم أو أيام قليلة

الخلاصة:
Happy → شيء طويل المدة
Merry → احتفال قصير

“Don’t throw me under the bus” means:

👉 Don’t blame me or make me look bad to protect yourself.
👉 Don’t betray me, especially in front of others.

It’s used when someone doesn’t want a friend, coworker, or teammate to make them the scapegoat.

Example:
“If the boss asks what happened, please don’t throw me under the bus.”
= Don’t put the blame on me to save yourself.

🔸 عندما تدين لأحد إسمها [ Debt ] دين.
🔹 عندما تسدد للحكومة تسمى [ Tax ] ضرائب.
🔸 عند تقاعد الموظف تسمى [ Pension ] تقاعد.
🔹 من صاحب عمل للعمال [ Salary ] راتب.
🔸 من معلم إلى مساعديه [ Wages ] أجر.
🔹 في دور العبادة تسمى [ Donations ] تبرعات.
🔸 عندما تأخذ قرض من البنك تسمى [ Loan ] قرض.
🔹 عندما تعطي في حال خدمة جيده [ Tip ] إكرامية.
🔸 عند استلامها بشكل غير قانوني مقابل خدمة تسمى [ Bribe ] رشوة.
