✔У Юли несколько высших образований. Последние несколько лет Юля исследует направление “Информационные технологии”, пишет докторскую и занимается академической работой в докторантуре Таллиннского университета.

✔I have several degrees (MS and PhD) in different directions. Last several years I have been researching the field of Informational Society Technology, writing my PhD thesis and working with students at Tallinn University.

2011-2014 - MS in Public Administration, Baruch College, CUNY, NY.
2016-2018 - MS in Human-Computer Interaction, Tallinn University.
2018 - present - PhD in Information Society Technology, Tallinn University.

📢Студия THINGKER - это креативное пространство для детей и подростков. Мы проводим занятия и мастер-классы по файбертронике (электронному текстилю или э-текстилю) на русском и английском языках для детей и подростков (7)8-14 лет.

ℹ Сейчас файбертронику используют для создания смарт-одежды, и ученые-футуристы считают, что уже через 5 лет смарт-одежда будет представлена в масс-маркете. Представляете, как легко уже сейчас дать своему ребенку возможность на выходе из школы представлять ценность для будущих работодателей и индустрий, связанных с электронными технологиями!

✔Для того, чтобы посещать занятия и мастер-классы, не нужно увлекаться шитьем, достаточно уметь делать простые стежки.

📌Занятия максимально продуманы и интерактивны как для девочек, так и для мальчиков, которые интересуются работой вещей и систем изнутри, любят вникать в процессы и делать что-то своими руками.

📌Мы начинаем с азов, идем от простых схем и вещей к более сложным, от общего - к деталям. Детям нравится вникать в процесс и понимать на простых примерах, как устроена работа электронных микросхем и как сделать так, чтобы в результате получилась работающая вещь.

📢THINGKER STUDIO is a creative space for children and teenagers. We make classes and workshops in fibertronics (STEAM, e-textile) in Russian and English for children and teenagers from 8 up to 14 years.

ℹNowadays, fibertronics is used to create smart clothes. Futuristic scientists believe that in 5 years smart clothes will be presented in the mass market. Just imagine how easy it is to give your child the opportunity after school to be a valuable employee for future electronics industries!

✔In order to attend classes, children don’t need to get involved in sewing, it is enough to have basic sewing skills.

📌Classes are thought out and interactive as much as possible for girls and boys who are interested in electronic technologies, design, “smart clothes”, interested how it works from the inside.

📌We start from basic points and go from simple microcircuits to more complex ones; we go from the general to the details. Children like to “dive” into the process and understand simple examples: how electronic microcircuits work and how to make sure that at the result will be a working thing (bracelet, picture and so forth).

👉What do we do in our workshops?

👍Our motto is "Think and Make Things in a playful way"! At each workshop, we have no more than 4 to 6 children to make sure every child gets enough attention from our instructors. We start the workshop by getting acquainted with the materials and electronics to be used during the class. We will talk about the necessary aspects of electricity and creating the circuits as well as about each component in our creative toolkit. After that, we will engage in making interactive things such as interactive toys, accessories, clothes, or artistic objects. This is how kids can engage in the creative process.

✂️Each workshop builds upon the knowledge received in the previous one but if your child already has the required knowledge he or she does not have to attend the beginner level to join more advanced workshops. The best reward for us is to see the happy and curious faces of our little creators when their interactive projects start blinking, vibrating, or playing music!
