EL EXPERIMENTO FALLÓ: 6 PAÍSES VUELVEN A LOS LIBROS IMPRESOS

Mientras gran parte del mundo acelera la digitalización educativa, seis naciones de Europa —Suecia, Finlandia, Noruega, Francia, Italia y Dinamarca— están retirando las pantallas de los salones de clases para devolver el protagonismo a los libros impresos, la lectura profunda y la escritura tradicional a mano.

Esta transición radical no responde a la nostalgia, sino a una creciente evidencia científica que vincula el papel y el lápiz con mejoras drásticas en la memoria, la concentración y la comprensión cognitiva. Suecia lideró este freno en 2023, cuando su Ministerio de Escuelas canceló las tabletas obligatorias y reinvirtió cientos de millones de coronas en textos físicos.

Dinamarca ha destinado 540 millones de coronas para sustituir dispositivos digitales por libros físicos, distribuyendo inicialmente 17,500 ejemplares en sus escuelas, bajo la meta estricta de erradicar los teléfonos móviles de los entornos escolares para el año 2027. Por su parte, Francia e Italia ya aplican prohibiciones severas contra los smartphones desde la educación primaria, reintroduciendo las agendas de papel y la escritura manual.

En la región nórdica, Noruega reporta que el 96% de sus escuelas primarias ya mantiene los dispositivos móviles fuera de las aulas, mientras que Finlandia aplica restricciones similares desde 2024. El movimiento conjunto de estos países plantea un debate global sobre los límites y los verdaderos costos pedagógicos de la digitalización temprana.
