When a child’s progress slows down, have we look at the intervention setting? 🤔

“Is the centre not working?”
“Should I change?”

These concerns are valid — but before making a decision, let’s pause and look at the whole picture.

Progress is not always linear 📉📈

There are times when a child may:
• Reach a plateau
• Feel less motivated
• Need more challenge
• Be ready for the next stage

Slower progress does not always mean something is wrong ❌

Sometimes, it’s a sign your child needs:
✨ A new approach
✨ More meaningful engagement
✨ A different level of challenge

Or even…
🌱 Ready to move forward or graduate to the next phase of learning

Before deciding to change centres, take a closer look at your child:
Are you seeing more 🔴 red flags or 🟢 green flags?

Most importantly — how does your child feel? 💛

Because a child who feels safe, supported, and understood will always be more ready to learn.

If you’re unsure, we’re here to guide you 🤝

Using “Is” & “Are” 🗣️ | Building School Readiness Skills

Learning grammar can be fun and meaningful when we make it visual and hands-on 💡

In this activity, we focused on helping our student understand how to use “is” and “are” correctly.

We started by presenting a simple visual sentence prompt:
👉 “There is ______”
👉 “There are ______”

Then, we showed her different sets of items — some with a single object, and some with multiple objects. Her task was to decide whether to use “is” or “are” based on what she sees 👀

For example:
🦁 1 lion figurine → “There is a lion.”
🦁🦁🦁🦁🦁🦁🦁 7 lion figurines → “There are 7 lions.”

Through this activity, the student is developing:
✨ Understanding of singular vs plural
✨ Basic grammar skills
✨ Visual discrimination
✨ Sentence formation and speech

By pairing visuals with structured sentences, we help students make sense of grammar in a clear and practical way ❤️

Strong foundations in language lead to more confident communication in school and beyond 📚
