🛏️Before you go to bed tonight…
I’ll leave you with one question:

✨Who takes care of the woman who spends her life taking care of everyone else?

Over the past few weeks I’m always chatting with women who are moms, teachers, caregivers, entrepreneurs, homeschoolers…

Different lives.
Different stories.

But so many of us have said the same thing:
We are holding so much.

I don’t think what we’re craving is another vacation.

I think we’re craving permission.

Permission to stop planning.
Permission to stop holding everything together for a little while.

Permission to let someone else think about the meals, the schedule, the logistics, and the details.

That’s what Beyond the Noise™ has always been about.

Not escaping your life.
Remembering what it feels like to simply live it.

💕And something else…
So many of you have asked,
“Will you do another one if I can’t make this one?”

The honest answer is…
*I hope so.*
Because I have a feeling this is only the beginning.

But here’s what I also know:

There is something special about saying yes to the very beginning of a dream.

Before it becomes polished.

Before it becomes crowded.

Before it becomes something everyone has heard of.

Right now, Beyond the Noise is being built slowly, intentionally, and with a whole lot of heart.

In the Dominican Republic, 4 days, 5 nights.
You just show up.

If you’ve been quietly wondering whether you’re supposed to be there…

💕Maybe don’t ignore that feeling.
💕My inbox is always open.

Sleep well, friends. 🤍

For years, we’ve poured our hearts into creating experiences for children.🙏🏽

Nature programs.
Micro schools.
Family retreats.
Worldschooling adventures.

And honestly, it has been one of the greatest joys of our lives. And we still do it!:)

But somewhere along the way, I started noticing something. Probably as we had more children and I began planning more and more…

I started noticing the mothers.
The teachers. The planners.
The helpers.

The ones planning the trips.

The ones researching the flights.

The ones coordinating the schedules.

The ones making the magic happen for everyone else.

The worldschooling moms.
The travel moms.
The caregivers.
The helpers.

The people carrying more than most realize.

And I started thinking that I’m going to create a week for them!!!

Who plans something for the people who are always planning for everyone else?

That’s what inspired Beyond the Noise™.

This August in the Dominican Republic, we’re gathering for five days of ocean air, treehouse rest, meaningful conversations, rest, reflection, and connection.

No itinerary to build.
No meals to plan.
No logistics to coordinate.

Just show up!:)

If you’ve spent years creating unforgettable experiences for everyone else, maybe it’s time to let someone create one for you.

Comment “REMEMBER” and I’ll send over the details. 🤍

Dominican Tree House Village for the win!

Some places load into core memories better than others!!!:)

What is NOT on your list today?!?!

Love that!

Summer break is almost here, which means we’re about to shift gears and dive back into our homeschool routines.

One thing I love about Thailand is the indoor play places. The kids get hours of play, I get a chance to work and talk to actual adults, and everyone leaves happy (and exhausted 😂).

Before today’s play place adventure, we grabbed fresh orange smoothies from a little fruit stand outside 7-Eleven. Pick your fruit, hand it over, add ice, blend, and done. 🍊

We also got to spend a lot of time FaceTiming the boys, who just landed in the Dominican Republic, and we are SO excited for them! ❤️

The videos of the kids completely wearing themselves out are coming later. 🤣

I’m not going to stop talking about this….
I’m really being guided to set this up bc I’ve been watching us all for so long.

Right now, I’m with 40 of the most dedicated outstanding teachers!

And we just ask….
What would happen if you gave yourself five days away from the constant noise?

Not five days scrolling.

Not five days catching up on errands.

Not five days answering emails from a different location.

Five actual days.

Five days where meals are prepared for you.

Five days where nobody is asking you for anything every five minutes.

Five days where you can wake up without rushing.

Read that book you’ve been meaning to read.

Take a walk.

Have a meaningful conversation.

Sit by the ocean.

Think.

Breathe.

Be.

I think many of us have become so used to carrying everything that we don’t even realize how heavy it is anymore.

That’s why I believe so strongly in pattern interruptions.

Not because life is broken.

Not because we need to escape.

But because sometimes stepping outside our normal environment helps us see our lives more clearly.

For the helpers.
For the caregivers.
For the teachers.
For the people everyone depends on.

What would happen if you gave yourself five days away?

🤍 Comment NOISE if you’d like the retreat packet.

Looking back, I think the universe was trying to tell us something.

For years we created experiences for children and families.

But over and over again, the conversations that stayed with me weren’t the ones happening during the activities.

They were happening later.

Over dinner.

Around a campfire.

On a beach walk.

The best conversations were often with the women.

The mothers raising incredible children.

The caregivers holding families together.

The women building businesses, supporting partners, showing up for friends, and somehow managing a thousand moving pieces at once.

I remember sitting there thinking how remarkable they were.

How much wisdom was being shared around those tables.

How much laughter.

How much life experience.

How much strength.

And I started realizing that while we had spent years creating experiences for children and families, there was something equally meaningful about creating space for the people who make so much of that possible.

Beyond the Noise™ is our answer to that realization.

A space for the helpers.

The caregivers.

The women carrying more than most people know.

And if you’ve been feeling the pull to join us, maybe that’s not an accident.

Maybe it’s your turn.

Thing #348 I’ve learned from moving countries, traveling with kids, and building life differently is this:

You can’t see your patterns when you’re standing inside them.

Sometimes you need distance.

A different environment.
Different conversations.
Different scenery.

Not because travel magically fixes your problems.

But because stepping outside your normal life helps you see it more clearly.

That’s why I won’t shut up about pattern interruptions.

📢Comment INTERRUPT if you need details for our DR trip this summer.

Specifically for:
Teachers.
Teachers who have a dried nervous system
Ones that are in the thick of it.
Ones that know how much they used to love it
Ones that have had to lose sight of everything to make it thru

And ones that want to find the joy out side of classroom life.

Bc it costs too much not to.
Join our teacher retreat….cant wait to meet you!
