St. Mary's Academy

Congratulations to Thierry Lauture and Arion Bozel on their success in the semi finals of the Annual Rotary quiz competition held on Friday the 13th of March 2026.

The two gentlemen will be moving on to the final on Friday 27th March.

On March 9th 2026, Saint Mary's Academy received a generous dontion in the amount of $15,734 to go towards the repairing of our school (specifically the roof) due to damages sustained during Hurricane Maria.The Saint Mary's Academy is forever grateful to the Old Boys Association particularly the Class of 1974-75 for their continuous donations to the Saint Mary's Academy.

It is with deep sadness that we announce the death of Handel Norbert Joseph, age 59 of Massacre.
He died on Monday, October 13, 2025 at the Edouard Herriot Hospital in Lyon, France.

He was the father of: Javeed and Yannick

Also left to mourn his three Grand Children: Jamaal, J’Vaughn and Khalil.

He will also be remembered by his Sisters: Alexia, Mary, Deborah Joseph-King and Desrie Joseph-Elwin.

Nieces: Nadlie, Guenaelle and Guina

Nephew: Jesse

Grand Nieces: Mhea, Nellister, Giana

Brother-in-law: Philbert King

Daughter-in-law: Lindbertha Mayers-Joseph

The funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 8, 2025 at the St. Martin De Porres Chapel in Canefield from 9:30am for viewing. Service begins at 10am.

🙏🏽 A heartfelt farewell to our 5th Formers! 🙌🏽

Our 5th Formers marked a meaningful milestone this week as they prepare to leave the halls of St. Mary's Academy. On Wednesday, April 9th, they gathered at the Holy Spirit Chapel in Loubiere for their Final Mass, celebrated by our school Chaplain, Fr. Brancker John — a moment of reflection, prayer, and thanksgiving.

Then on Thursday, April 10th, the Final Assembly brought the spirit of SMA alive as the 5th Formers paid tribute to their teachers, delivered heartfelt speeches, and gave special presentations in honor of their time at the Academy. It was a beautiful morning, filled with brotherhood, pride, and lasting memories.

As they prepare to step into a new chapter, they do so grounded in the values of faith, discipline, and excellence.
