Our STEM girlies were invited to be part of an inspiring book launch last Friday. Mrs. Marilyn Cuffy-Morris, no stranger to youth development, launched yet another series of books on Friday, 5th June, at the UWI Open Campus Dominica.
Our girls were privileged to attend this empowering event, where they witnessed a woman pouring into the lives of young people through the publication of books aimed at fostering entrepreneurial development among youth.
Mrs. Cuffy-Morris met our girls at the recent STEM Fair hosted by the Ministry of Education and saw it fit to invite us to be part of this momentous occasion.
The Wesley High School Dominica extends sincere thanks to Mrs. Cuffy-Morris and congratulates her on the publication of her new books. We wish her continued success as she inspires and empowers the next generation.

Today, our students received another valuable opportunity to demonstrate their skills, creativity, and innovation at the Ministry of Education’s organized TVET Showcase.
They proudly displayed a variety of projects and products that highlighted their talents and the practical skills developed through our TVET programmes. The showcase featured their work in crochet, embroidered materials, bonnets, beadwork, painting, edge control production, and the innovative Study App.
These experiences continue to reinforce the importance of technical and vocational education in empowering our young people with skills for life, further education, and the world of work.

'You reap what you sow', right?
Seeds of lettuce and celery were sown, and we're reaping the rewards. The girls of the Environmental Club, Cool Girls Club and 4-H Club are experiencing the joy of their harvest as they gathered a beautiful yield of fresh lettuce and celery this week.
At The Wesley High School Dominica it is our desire to continually engage our girls in innovative, meaningful experiences that foster growth, responsibility and practical skills across all spheres of life.

💜 Today, the final Friday of May, which is recognized as Lupus Awareness Month, our girls were invited to wear purple or white with purple in solidarity with those affected by Lupus.
Lupus is a chronic autoimmune disease in which the body’s immune system attacks its own tissues and organs, causing inflammation, pain, fatigue, and damage to various parts of the body. It is often referred to as an “invisible illness” because many of its symptoms are not immediately noticeable.
We were privileged to have as our guest speaker, Mrs. Shoyea-Gaye Grant-Massicotte — counselor, lecturer, Lupus warrior, and advocate — who shared valuable insights and personal experiences that helped to deepen our understanding and awareness of this condition.
As a school community, we continue to remember in prayer those who fight this silent battle every day. We also hope that through opportunities such as today’s presentation, greater awareness, empathy, and support for persons living with Lupus will continue to grow.💜

Last week we completed the last of our form level day retreats. The students left the classroom to engage in a refreshing time of reflection as they participated in meaningful sessions that were aimed at holistic development.
At The Wesley High School Dominica it is our desire to cater to, not only the academic success of our students, but also their emotional, mental, and spiritual well-being. It is our desire that our girls are able to handle the quadratic functions and life's malfunctions as well 😮💨. Special thanks to all our facilitators! You were truly awesome with our girls!
