NOTE IN YOUR CALENDAR! summer camp in DNS between 12-21st of August!!

Are you interested in alternative education? DNS is organizing "Alternative Education in Practice", a 10-day summer camp for adults. The camp will be a journey across different questions related to education, and will include investigations, discussions, and other unconventional pedagogical methods. The camp is open to anyone interested in the topic, providing a platform where teachers and students can gather to experience collective learning and share their insights with each other. Sounds like something you might like?

Where? Tvind International School Centre, Denmark.
How much? 300 euros, which covers food and accommodation, different activities and materials, and a lift from the local train station (Ulfborg).

We are back! Some small updates, we are now in the final months of the third year of the DNS programme. The last 9 months we have been on Teaching Practice. Each of us were distributed in different schools and worked with adults from DNS, or mentally and socially challenged youngsters. We could describe the period as an individual roller coaster but also as a team one. We had the opportunity to try ourselves as teachers, take initiative, use creative teaching methods and much more. One of the hightlights of this period was the planning and carrying out of different common projects. We organized a thematic day around food waste for one of the schools, a cultural meal and evening programme for a group of refugees, and a pedagogical day around the DNS values and principles for our community. Now we are back in TVIND, working on our studies, the plans for next year and an inspiring project with an art organization in Wales called "Arts Connection".
