Hey Sreya Yog fam! 👋 We all love our screens – phones, tablets, laptops... they connect us to the world! But sometimes, all that looking down can lead to an unwelcome visitor: Tech Neck!
Ever feel that nagging stiffness in your neck, tension in your shoulders, or even a headache after a long scroll session? Yep, that's often our head literally pulling forward, creating strain on our cervical spine. It's like our necks are trying to become little turtles! 🐢
What is 'Tech Neck'?
It's basically the pain and stiffness that comes from prolonged periods of looking down at electronic devices. Our heads are heavy, and when they're consistently angled forward, our neck muscles work overtime to keep them upright. Ouch!
But don't worry, your yoga mat (and a little mindfulness!) is your secret weapon against the digital slouch! ✨
How Yoga Helps:
Awareness: Yoga teaches you to tune into your posture.
