I haven't posted anything in a little while. We have been busy getting our vegetable gardens ready to plant, and this week I've been sowing seeds. I still have the potatoes and onions left to plant. We have built two, high, long garden beds, and I've been transferring my strawberry plants to those. As it turns out, I have those filled, I've sold over 100 strawberry plants, and I still have half of the old strawberry bed full of plants. I'm not quite sure what to do about all these plants. This year we will keep it as it is now and pick all the berries, but something needs to be done next year with the old bed still half full of plants.
Allan has replaced the entire roof over the laundry room on our house. That was a big job for just one person. He still has the edges to finish.
As for the chickens, we have a total of 18 right now, and that includes 2 roosters and a new baby chick. One of our chickens is currently sitting on some eggs. I don't know how many she has under her. So 15 chickens are currently laying everyday.
Now you are up to date on the farm activities. Just a reminder, we are still selling our farm-fresh delicious eggs. They are located in the refrigerator in our carport. We accept mobile pay which the number is posted on the refrigerator door. For the next little while we will also be selling rhubarb. Due to the nature of this plant, if it sits too long after being picked it can become wilted. It's best to buy it as soon as possible after picking so it's crisp and fresh. Call or message Allan's cell to request rhubarb and we will make sure it's picked fresh for when you want to pick it up. Fresh rhubarb in most Danish stores is anywhere from 35kr and up per kilo, unwashed, unchopped, and not bagged. Here at AB-Landbrug we are selling it for 25 kr per kilo. just picked. And if you prefer it washed, chopped, and bagged, we are selling for 35kr per kilo.
