It is a new quarter and time for setting new goals... here is what you need to be mindful of....
We can all have a habit of setting overly ambitious goals. That is generally good in order to stretch ourselves, but it may come at the cost of being incredibly overwhelming if you only look at the big, lofty goal. People can end up getting "paralyzed" by the magnitude of the goal.
Make sure you break it down into smaller pieces. If you goal is to improve customer satisfaction from 75% current to 95% that can seem like an impossible task. Focus on the steps you need to take in order to start.
1 - What channels are we performing better than others? Let's look at the worst performing one that also has high traffic volume
2 - What is the core reason customers are no as happy as you would like them to be? Maybe 25% of your issue is due to a self service feature missing, a payment solution not working, agents SOP being incorrect or others
3 - Start attacking one item at a time and celebrate completing the smaller milestones that will ultimately lead to you achieving your big and scary milestone.
Go big or go home? Try go small and go long!

Before you start running off and setting goals for yourself in 2024, remember to do this first....
Take a bit of time for self-reflection and understanding you and what drives you. What are you passionate about? What really gets that fire going inside you? What do you enjoy?
I often have this conversation with amazing people who set a goal to get promoted or climb the corporate ladder as well call it. My first question to them is always "what are you passionate about?". To find out if you are passionate about leadership or being an individual contributor and taking on that path as a career goal is quite important.
You can change path, but it is important that you focus on what you enjoy. It may have been Confucius who is attributed for quoting this, but I want to add something here. Doing what you love must be put in context. If you are looking at your future and the mountains you want to climb, focus on what you enjoy doing. What jobs/tasks can give you more of what you enjoy versus the things you do not enjoy. All jobs in life will have certain tasks that are less appealing to you.
Be clear about yourself, your strengths, and opportunities. Be clear about what you enjoy and what drives you. What gets the fire going and what keeps it lit over the long term? If you can figure yourself out, it is much easier to thrive on the journey of life and work.
Find your internal compass and let it guide you in 2024.
What do you enjoy most about your current line of work?

What is going to change for you? Here is what you need to do....
It is the 1st of January and it is the time for resolutions. Quit smoking, start exercising , people want to get rid of bad habits or start new ones.
Forget the resolution. In order to quit smoking you have to develop habits that facilitate the quitting. Make it unattractive to smoke, make it difficult to buy. Make the intention of the person you want to be.
Habits don't need a new year to start. They need the right intention. Do you put on your running shoes in the morning with the intention to run? Put out the shoes so they are visible. Make the clothes ready so you have less excuses and remember that every small step forward will get you there eventually, but you cannot quit days. Try every day to be better than you were yesterday.
What is the one habit you will include into your daily routines to become the person you want to be? Write in the comments below. ๐ฏ๐

How are you spending your free time?
It is the weekend and in most countries it is a three day weekend, so there is time to refuel and recharge.
When I have time off, I try to focus on doing things that I enjoy, that makes me de-stress and also things that help me become the person I want to be.
My weekends typically include script writing and video recording for my content on LinkedIn, YouTube and other social media channels. I also make it a point to spend time with family and take walks in nature. Nature has a very positive impact on my well being.
Resting and recovering is not only about sleeping, but finding and doing things that recharge your energy and mind. A well rested you is unstoppable. If you don't focus on recharging in your down time, you will struggle to achieve your goals as quickly as you want.
Drop a comment and share how you refuel and recharge during your off days?

How does being grateful impact your performance?
Appreciating the good things in your life can be life changing. I often talk to individuals who feel they have been passed by or withheld something in life. We all forget what we have to be grateful for at times, because it has become normal. Roof over our head, food on the table, our health and so on.
All these things you should be grateful for. If you start focusing on what you are grateful for, you will start to attract more positivity into your life and invite it in people around you. Stop complaining about a bad day at work and start being grateful for having a job. Write a list of all the good things that is going on in your life. If you are finding it challenging, here is something to inspire you:
I am able to see, walk, hear, taste, feel
I know where my next meal will come from
I have a roof over my head to shelter me from the rain
I have internet access so I can continue to learn and grow
I am healthy and able to go for a walk/run
If you do not believe the above is relevant to you, think about people who have less than you. There are war torn countries, people being bombed, deprived of their freedom, who have no food, no shelter, no protection. If something far away is a challenge for you to see, then focus on your own circles. Are there people you know who just lost their job? Are there people who got into an accident? Do you see anyone being homeless and living on the street. These are realities of life. Do not think you are the only one who struggles.
Remember, a soul is not burdened with more than it can bear. It gets every good that it earns and it suffers every ill it deserves. This means that we all face trials in life and being grateful for the smaller things, helps us go through the more challenging ones and it makes us shine and remain positive as well as happy.
Here is to a happy today, tomorrow and future.
