What do up to 75% of people have a phobia of…?
You might be thinking it’s sharks, heights, or spiders, but the actual answer is public speaking!
It’s something coach and BWRT practitioner Rachael Lewis has encountered time and time again in her career. But the good news is that with just a few sessions of BWRT, she’s able to help people overcome this fear and progress in their own careers.
Rachael shares her fascinating insights into how she integrates BWRT into her professional coaching in Episode 5 of the BWRT podcast, available now on all podcast platforms.

BWRT Training Denmark
Official BWRT® training in English for therapists, psychologists, coaches, and mental health professionals based in Denmark since 2025.
Clients often don’t believe us when we say BWRT can be effective in as little as one session.
It sounds too good to be true, but case studies like Sumedha Bhise’s proves that it’s not.
Sumedha joined me back in the first episode of The BWRT Practice Podcast to discuss her journey to become a certified BWRT practitioner, how she’s developed her own specialised courses for co-dependency and anger, and her first experiences using BWRT – which worked successfully in just one day.
Sumedha is such a respected and highly valued member of the BWRT community, so our conversation is definitely worth listening to if you’re interested in finding out more about this modality. Listen to it now wherever you get your podcasts:

As a BWRT practitioner I’m fortunate to see how it helps clients every week in my practice, and it’s always uplifting to hear other success stories from around the world.
In Episode 2 of The BWRT Practice Podcast I was joined by Laura McDonald for an interesting reflection on the link between the brain and the body, and how Laura is using the modality to support athletes and people with physical considerations, including a client with MS who has increased her range of movement with help from BWRT.
It’s an inspiring and uplifting story which I’m so pleased to post on social media to show how BWRT can support anyone.
If you’re looking for support, perhaps having tried other modalities that didn’t work or are hesitant about sharing trauma from your past or the amount of time therapy can take, I’d encourage you to learn more about BWRT, and find practitioners who can offer support in your country.
More information can be found on the BWRT website, and you can also listen to my discussion with Laura wherever you get your podcasts.

It’s not your fault.
One of my key takeaways from my discussion with BWRT Practitioner Sam Berriman was how teachers and parents were absorbing blame for young people’s mental health issues. But they often have little to no control over the systems’ barriers, for the content shown on social media, or the budget spent on services to support wellbeing.
If you’re interested in finding out how BWRT can support adolescents’ mental health, I’d recommend listening to Episode 6 of The BWRT Practice Podcast with Sam – she talks with great knowledge and passion about the issues facing teenagers and we can support them.

What can you expect from the BWRT newcomer course?
Laura Smith was new to therapy when she signed up. And what followed would change the course of her life, moving away from the corporate world and becoming a trained practitioner.
And, as we discuss during the BWRT Practice Podcast, Laura was able to use BWRT when she faced her own personal setback and what she’d learned in BWRT became a key support during her treatment and recovery from breast cancer.

“We don’t realise the impact that trauma has on our lenses”
If you’ve ever found yourself or a friend saying that they always go for the wrong type of partner, or that their just no good at relationships, perhaps it’s time for you/them to look at relationships in a different light?
I loved Tehilla Luttig’s analogy in our discussion for The BWRT Practice Podcast, where she talks about the power of seeing ourselves through a new lens, not the one that was given to us. This then empowers us to make better decisions by putting ourselves first.
If you’re interested in finding out how BWRT can help relationships, then you’ll love listening to this episode, available now on all podcast platforms.
Or alternatively if Tehilla has inspired you to learn more about BWRT for couples therapy, then please do get in touch. As a trainer I can help you to become BWRT Certified and empower the people you work with.
When we think about physical injuries, we think about how the muscle or the nerves have reacted, but do we think as much about how the brain has processed this injury?
A major part of the pain caused by physical injury is how the brain’s survival system (the reptilian complex) processes and then memorises the response to movement, pressure, or rest. The good news is that by combining physical rehabilitation with mental re-wiring we can shift these automatic patterns at a deep level.
BWRT Practitioner Scotty Butcher explained how he combined modalities to help clients with chronic pain in Episode 4 of The BWRT Practice Podcast. It’s a truly insightful discussion that opened my eyes to BWRT’s power to physically heal.
If, like Scotty, you’re a physiotherapist looking to add BWRT to your practice, contact me today to learn more about training in this modality. Or listen to Episode 4 of The BWRT Podcast, available on all podcast platforms, to discover how it has transformed Scotty’s practice.
Have you listened to the latest episode of The BWRT Practice Podcast?
In episode 9, I’m joined by Shruti Sanganeria, a long-standing BWRT practitioner who was one of the first in India to qualify in this modality. We have an insightful conversation about one of her specialities, self-work, and why it’s an essential part of any therapist’s practice.
We also discuss topics such as neutrality, and how Shruti’s own experience with BWRT has shaped her practice.
My thanks to Shruti for joining me on the podcast, available to listen to now on Apple Podcasts and Spotify:

In a recent interview for the BWRT Practice Podcast I sat down with one of the earliest BWRT practitioners, June Hale, to discuss how her life has been impacted by this transformative therapy.
It was an honest and emotional conversation, as June shared how BWRT helped her when she became a full-time carer for her husband.
As an experienced therapist, June had already built trust in the practice and knew it could support her in her time of need. Her story is one of hope and resilience facing unimaginable change and stress in her life.

Sometimes during The BWRT Practice Podcast I share my own experiences. Discussing leadership coaching with Rachael Lewis was one such opportunity.
I had been working with a middle manager who was having difficulty engaging with young, new incoming employees. He was struggling to change his approach to the changing needs of the workforce and although he was reluctant, he identified that he had to get results from the team.
After receiving BWRT he had a meeting with a new employee. He was unable to access the anger and irritation of before and instead could listen without reaction.
It’s a testament to the power of BWRT that this person was able to let go of their beliefs and who they were as a manager, which had developed over 30 years.
It was really interesting to talk about BWRT in settings that people might not expect. Rachael is an expert on leadership coaching and shares lots of successful case studies of her own, so do listen to episode 5 if you have the opportunity.
