Actually, secret weapon 😲 Really good exercise by that I'm taking with me.
Giving someone a band to do external shoulder rotation is simple and easy, and I've done it a lot even in the last couple weeks and months, because it's valuable and accessible.
But often people do it with sloppy intention. Just yanking on the band without controlling momentum or making sure they overload over time. And over time it gets really boring
The double band version makes intention more pure, more precise
Because both ends of the lever (the forearm) are resisted AND the entire shoulder girdle (muscles around shoulder blades) can relax more, letting the rotator cuff do quality isolated work.
So yeah, I'm taking it with me, going to share this exercise with those of my clients who train in a gym setting and use it myself. Just making these two videos about it and playing with the exercise has left my rotator cuffs really feeling pumped 💪💪💪
Secret weapons 😂 cool exercise by that I really like, I talk earnestly about it in my next video but in this one just followed my impulse to make a bit of well-intentioned fun about it.
