📢We would be delighted if you would join us for the HUM:Global Conference 2026 where our programme turns to a central concern of global humanities: how to understand and engage with 𝗣𝗹𝘂𝗿𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘀𝗺 𝗶𝗻 𝗣𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗲.

During a time marked by geopolitical tensions, rising authoritarianism, and increasing pressures on freedom of expression, understanding how diverse perspectives are produced, negotiated, and constrained has become an urgent task. This two-day conference brings together scholars, practitioners, artists, and institutional actors to explore how global humanities can help us make sense of—and respond to—these challenges.

By bringing together a range of analytical approaches, disciplinary viewpoints, and forms of knowledge, the conference explores how research in our field can generate meaningful impact through rigorous, methodologically reflective scholarship and strategic and innovative thinking.

🌍An exploration of “𝙏𝙝𝙚 𝙂𝙡𝙤𝙗𝙖𝙡” 𝙞𝙣 𝙂𝙡𝙤𝙗𝙖𝙡 𝙃𝙪𝙢𝙖𝙣𝙞𝙩𝙞𝙚𝙨 𝙍𝙚𝙨𝙚𝙖𝙧𝙘𝙝 with early career scholars from the Faculty of Humanities six departments.

🎨An exhibition, artist talk and debate under the theme, 𝙎𝙝𝙖𝙥𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙋𝙪𝙗𝙡𝙞𝙘 𝘿𝙞𝙖𝙡𝙤𝙜𝙪𝙚 𝙬𝙝𝙞𝙡𝙚 𝙪𝙣𝙙𝙚𝙧 𝘾𝙤𝙣𝙨𝙩𝙧𝙖𝙞𝙣𝙩: 𝙏𝙝𝙚 𝙍𝙤𝙡𝙚 𝙤𝙛 𝙄𝙣𝙨𝙩𝙞𝙩𝙪𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙨, 𝘾𝙪𝙡𝙩𝙪𝙧𝙚, 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝘾𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙫𝙚 𝙋𝙧𝙖𝙘𝙩𝙞𝙘𝙚 with invited speakers from the fields of law, human rights, culture and the arts, and Professors Anne Ring Petersen and Helle Porsdam.

Global Health Film Days brings together films and conversations that reflect this moment of transition, a moment in which global health is no longer taken for granted, but actively reshaped. This year’s festival invites audiences to consider what it means to live, organize, and care in a time of emergence.
