The history about Carolineskolen
Carolineskolen is a small private school for Jewish children. The school is 207 years old and it is not only one of the oldest schools in Denmark, it is also one of the longest functioning Jewish schools in the world. Already when the school was founded, focus was aimed at educating the students to a successful integration into the Danish society. We are proud of our age; we are both conservative and progressive. Tradition is a very important foundation for us and it enables our students to act in a modern society. New proficiencies are built on old knowledge which is a prerequisite for being able to change and challenge oneself and being able to see oneself in a different perspective. Our goal is that the students be filled with enthusiasm, the will to explore and the joy of succeeding. The school should be able to provide these opportunities. The interplay between the usual and the unusual must be the school’s main mission. Among the best schools in Denmark
Year after year, we have achieved results placing us among the best schools in Denmark. However, the most important benchmark for a school is not the grades achieved but how the students manage in society afterwards. We are proud that all our students continue with an secondary/upper secondary education and that many of our students have achieved significant positions in the Danish society.
