Shout-out Sunday!

Shout-out Sunday is when I thank people who I think deserve acknowledgment for their contributions to advancing the profession and helping others.

This time we honor Shon Harris (RIP).

Shon was THE instructor that helped me the most when I was studying for my CISSP in 2010/2011, I used both her video classes as well as her CISSP book. Through her videos, books, and her company Logical Security, she has helped many thousands pass their CISSP exams, I would bet a majority of all the CISSPs in the world have been helped by her training in some way or another.
Her way of explaining topics was just amazing, she was the author of many books including the CISSP AIO series.
She was recognized as one of the top 25 women in the information security field by Information Security magazine.
Shon passed away in 2014 at age 46, a terrible loss for everyone.

Thank you, Shon, for all that you have done and that you continue to do for the infosec community.
