First, we’re going to take an honest look at 2025.

This won’t just be about celebrating wins or analyzing failures, but understanding how we created both.

When we see the connection between who we’ve been and how that led to the result of 2025, we gain power to create what we want in 2026.

Instead of making another list of resolutions, we will use our vision for 2026 to inform who we need to be so that the external results are a natural consequence of that.

I will share some fundamental concepts, but most of the workshop will be spent reflecting / journaling.

What We’ll Explore:

- How who we are Being shaped our results in relationships, work, money, and health
- The beliefs and patterns that created both our successes and struggles this year
- Who we need to become to create what we truly want in 2026

This workshop is for you if:

- You want more than surface-level goal setting
- You’re willing to look honestly at how you created the successes and failures this year
- You know that changing your outer world starts with changing your inner one

What to bring:
- Your journal (If you don’t have one, this is a great time to get one.)

A little over two years ago, in a tiny village out in the countryside of Portugal, I met someone who would change my life in the most profound ways.

I was living my best life as a digital nomad and decided to stay at Traditional Dream Factory for 3 months to get my nature battery filled up and live in community.

Then I saw her. She was hard to overlook. Brown skin, shaved head and a bright red coat with weird shapes on it.

𝑾𝒉𝒐 𝒊𝒔 𝒕𝒉𝒊𝒔 𝒘𝒐𝒎𝒂𝒏?

Well… it didn’t take too long to find out because she has such an open heart that she offered that if I or some of the other people at TDF would ever be in Lisbon she would love to have us stay at her apartment (𝐰𝐡𝐢𝐜𝐡 𝐡𝐚𝐝 𝐚 𝐩𝐨𝐨𝐥 𝐢𝐧 𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐛𝐚𝐜𝐤𝐲𝐚𝐫𝐝!!) for a night.

It didn’t take too long for me to take her up on that offer and we got to know each other more.

As a token of my appreciation, I gifted her a coaching session, which turned out to be very impactful. (𝘛𝘩𝘢𝘵’𝘴 𝘸𝘩𝘺 𝘐 𝘩𝘢𝘷𝘦 𝘢 𝘳𝘦𝘤𝘰𝘮𝘮𝘦𝘯𝘥𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘧𝘳𝘰𝘮 𝘩𝘦𝘳 𝘰𝘯 𝘮𝘺 𝘓𝘪𝘯𝘬𝘦𝘥𝘐𝘯 𝘱𝘳𝘰𝘧𝘪𝘭𝘦.)

I learned that she came from the US with her former partner and their dog, during the pandemic, to move to Portugal and follow her dreams.

I found out she is working around 20h a week, earning way over 100k per year doing organizational development consulting work.

Oh and she used to play professional volleyball (which is one of my favorite sports too!)

𝑾𝑶𝑾! 𝑾𝒉𝒐 𝒊𝒔 𝒕𝒉𝒊𝒔 𝒘𝒐𝒎𝒂𝒏?

After we’d just spent a few more days together she asked me if I wanted to join a camp for a burner festival in Spain.

𝑼𝒎𝒎 𝒔𝒖𝒓𝒆, 𝒘𝒉𝒚 𝒏𝒐𝒕? 𝑺𝒐𝒖𝒏𝒅𝒔 𝒍𝒊𝒌𝒆 𝒂𝒏 𝒊𝒏𝒕𝒆𝒓𝒆𝒔𝒕𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒂𝒅𝒗𝒆𝒏𝒕𝒖𝒓𝒆!

But all that effort going to Spain for not even a week-long festival?

So I asked her if she wanted to rent an Airbnb somewhere close to the festival in the middle of nowhere to live and work together for 2 weeks.

She said yes and this is when we started to fall in love.

A few months later I was in Brazil. When I asked her, she didn’t hesitate and flew over to spend time with me.

We had this epic house right at the beach. And in this house… (continue in comments)⬇️

Oh man... am I a bad Facebook friend?

I know it has been 18 days since my birthday but I wanted to say thank you to everyone who wrote me a nice message on my FB page.

I appreciate it. Thank you 🙏

You know how it is with social media I guess... this love-hate kinda relationship. 🤪

I used to be most active on Instagram, but I'm even posting way less there now. These days I'm trying to focus most of my social media time on posting on LinkedIn since this is where our ideal clients hang out too.

If we haven't connected on Linkedin, we definitely should: https://www.linkedin.com/in/jantrautwein/

Hi, I’m Jan, and I wanted to take a moment to re-introduce myself. 👋

I was born, raised, and "programmed" in Stuttgart, Germany.

I like to look at my life as a journey of undoing that programming, of freeing myself from the conditioning I received from the society I grew up in, the movies I watched, the songs I listened to, and the education system I went through.

Why?

Because I value freedom. And we can’t be free if we follow pre-defined paths others chose for us. So I started asking myself questions like:

• How do I want to live relationships?
• Where do I want to live? In one place or nomadic?
• How much do I want to work?
• Is the “normal” path of working 40+ hours and climbing the corporate career ladder what I want?
• Do I want to build someone else’s vision or my own?

The answers I found inspired the decisions I made, which led to a life quite different from the average one.

The value of freedom has been my main guidance for the last decade. And I feel blessed to have met a beautiful woman who shares this value: Diara Parker

Not only are we life partners, but we also collaborate as business partners. With coLiberate ventures and our program Liberated Business Blueprint, we are supporting experienced managers who want to get out of the 9-5 world into a life with more freedom.

Thanks for getting to know me a bit more! 😃

PS: No idea what is happening with my beard in that photo ^^

Jumping from balconies into pools is maybe not the most responsible thing to do, but it’s fun.

And makes for cool photos 😁

Randomly found this photo while going through my photos yesterday. It expresses quite well the energy I’m feeling at the moment. I feel pretty high on life. A few things are up in the air and I’m excited about them.

When I jump of a balcony there is no turning back. The moment I’m in the air there is not much else today other than enjoying the feeling and making sure the landing goes well. Of course I prepare properly. Is the pool deep enough? How far do I need to jump etc?

And that’s similar right now. We’ve jumped consciously into the next chapter of our business and life. We’re in mid-air right now. And every time I think about the landing I get reaffirmed that we have the equivalent of a nice fresh pool waiting for us. 😅

So all I have to do now is trust and enjoy. And of course the joy is made possible by the trust that things will play out in a beautiful way.

Happy Saturday 🤙

Diara Parker and I decided pretty spontaneously to host a 3h Business Clarity + Strategy Workshop after we met Kailash Gööck and he showed their beautiful event location Rasaruna Life Centre.🌴

I have a feeling it's going to be an amazing experience for everyone.🤗

I know this is not relevant for most people who are seeing this post because they are not on Koh Phangan, but in case you're curious - here is what will happen during that event: https://fb.me/e/ChBZmWbQ

If you think this would also be valuable for you, write a comment or send me a DM and we could host a similar event online. 💻

With this post I want to acknowledge & celebrate my mother Gabi - May she rest in peace.❤️

- My mother was a strong & independent woman.
- She brought me and my 2 amazing brothers into this world and raised us mostly on her own.
(My parents separated 22 years ago.)
- She travelled with us.
- She worked full time while taking care of 3 boys.
- She co-founded the “Mütterzentrum”, a centre in Stuttgart that supports mothers.
- She co-organized an alternative Kindergarten.
- She played volleyball.
- She brought my 2 amazing brothers into this world.
- She gave me so much freedom.

When I was 14 and started going out with my friends I realized that almost all of them had to be home at 10pm. Not me, I could stay out the whole night if I wanted to. My mum never told me when to be at home. Much later I found out that my mother would usually stay awake until I came home. I always wondered how she could be so at ease and not be worried. She wasn’t at ease, but instead of putting her own peace of mind first and limiting me - she put the freedom of her son first.

My mother was a real giver.
She gave so much and barely ever asked for anything in return.
She always made an effort to deliver the best work possible.
When she was working as an interior architect in a company and the company went downhill, she was the only employee her 2 bosses kept until at some point they had to close down completely.

At her last employer she got voted into the works council and took the responsibility to represent her collegues and their needs.
When her boss heard about her death he told me she was his favorite employee ever. She left such a positive impact with collegues there that many asked if they could also attent her funeral.

My mother was also very skilled at building stuff. She planned and designed the construction of a winter garden in the apartment I grew up in. She designed & build a kitchen for us. And then, when she and my dad separated she bought a house that she renovated - almost completely on her own.
