Early Birds Workshop at Pippagina.
This two hour workshop is for parents to be in the first and second trimester if pregnancy.

What to expect in Munich in pregnancy, and how to navigate the pregnancy journey . Routine tests, screening and vaccinations .

How to cope with minor discomforts and when to seek medical help.

This is a great class to take before the One Stop Childbirth class in the third trimester

Taught by a registered Hebamme in English this workshop is covered by most German health insurances .

DAD CLUB: A WORKSHOP FOR FATHERS-TO-BE
Becoming a dad is an exciting time, but it can also come with lots of questions. This Newborn Care Class for Dads is perfect for fathers-to-be who would like to gain practical knowledge, build confidence and feel more prepared for life with their baby. 
The class is led in English by Sofia, a British-Italian Midwife and Registered German Hebamme, in a relaxed space where you can ask questions and learn skills while connecting with other dads who are who are going through the same experience.

Class Content:

BREASTFEEDING & FEEDING Breastfeeding basics
How to recognise your baby’s feeding cues

YOUR BABY’S FIRST DAYS
What to expect during the first days in hospital
Routine examinations and newborn screening tests
What happens before going home with your baby

PRACTICAL NEWBORN CARE
How to hold and handle your baby
How to change your baby’s nappy
How and when to bathe your baby
How to care for the umbilical cord
How to create a safe sleep environment
How to soothe and comfort your baby

Common newborn concerns: jaundice, gassy babies, nappy rash… Kinderarzt check-ups Practicalities of having a new baby at home

This week Pippagina celebrates its 11th Birthday.

I founded Pippagina in 2015. As a British and German Registered Midwife I realised the importance of Ex. Pat families have childbirth classes in English .

Since those early days Pippagina now provides so munch more.

Now I have the support of many great colleagues . Last year the edition of Sofia an Italian Midwife , and recently registered German Hebamme/ Midwife. So great to have a fellow midwife/ Hebamme on the team . Together we provide childbirth, breast feeding preparation classes and new parent classes in English and Italian .

The team also provides pre and post natal yoga and Pilates . Sleep classes, New parent first aid, and breast feeding support at our Milk Cafe.

Classes for our older babies include Sing and sign and Mini music .

Workshops to include bringing up your bilingual child, back to work and more recently workshops for the perimenopause.

Our monthly FREE Pippagina community walk .

You can now learn and improve your German in your maternity leave at our special Mum and baby classes .

We are so looking forward to seeing many of you at our Pippagina picnic on Sunday July 12th in the Englischer Garten, ( sign up on the website ). This picnic is being organised by Pippagina’s photographer - Meg .

It has been a great privilege to be part of so many expectants parents journey to parenthood . We look forward to seeing you at our studio in Lehel.

Wishing our British Mothers a Happy Mothers Day . Whilst appreciating this is a tough day for many who have lost their own mother; or lost a baby through miscarriage, stillbirth or neonatal/child death. 💐💐💐

This two hour workshop can be taken by the mother alone or with her partner. The class is taught by a German Registered Hebamme who will guide you through the first two trimesters of pregnancy. What to expect at each appointment , choosing a birth place , advice on common complaints of early pregnancy and more . Classes taught in the relaxed atmosphere of the Pippagina studio in Lehel. This is a perfect workshop to take in combination with the One stop childbirth class and breastfeeding preparation class.
