Our record-breaking stitch sampler band has grown a lot at Nadelwelt in Karlsruhe. There are 57 new slips hanging on the wall and over a hundred have been taken home to stitch. Some of them have already been returned to us. We are so happy that this idea has been so well received! If you would like to take part from home, keep an eye out for our new website, which will list all the stitches we still want to include. We will let you know as soon as it is published.

Another show to promote a student of the International School for Textile Arts and our big adventure "The Maybe Longest Stitch Sampler Of The World". We had lots of visitors yesterday and 73 people taking their time to prepare a slip for our sampler band, Come and see us at the Nadelwelt in Karlsruhe in the Artists Hall. looking forward to meet you today or tomorrow between 10 am and 6 pm.

ISTA's local courses are starting again, with our first long seminar week taking place from 22-30.4.2023. You can finish projects you've started, get help with distance learning projects, create a whole new work with your own ideas, or get inspired by the nearly 1000 books in our library. We are here to help you with advice and lots of opportunities to try things out.

We started our big adventure "The Maybe Longest Stitch Sampler In The World" at Creativa 2023! We were so happy that so many kids were interested and stitched with us. Girls and boys alike! The next event to join us will be the Nadelwelt in Karlsruhe from April 30th to April 2nd. Hope to see you there!

Another busy month coming our and your way. From March 15th thru March 19th you will find us at the CREATIVA in Dortmund in Hall 4 where all the textile Events are taking place. Take the chance to talk to us in person at stand 4.F84. Deutsche Stickgilde will present works by Heidrun Klein Meisterklasse studend at International School for Textile Arts "Naive Painting with Needle and Thread".

All textile techniques can be combined in some way. This is what we all love about our textile projects. Embroidery and felting form a particularly harmonious symbiosis. Have you always wanted to get a brief insight into the craft of felting so that you can better incorporate it into your textile projects? Then come to Heike Fritz's (https://heike-fritz.de/) short workshop in the beautiful surroundings of the Kunst- und Malcafe in Medebach-Oberschledorn (https://www.oberschledorn-aktiv.de/index.php/oberschledorn-aktiv/kursangebot-kuma.html). BIZ will be there as well!

As the name suggests Whitework is traditionally worked in white on white. But we think that these beatuiful techniques are as beautiful in bright colors like this example shows. First Steps student Sibylle (DE) worked this sampler in a stunning combination of colors.

We are all fascinated by the stunning book by Jenny Adin-Christie on Fine Whitework. This is a sample piece by our Master Needle Artisan students Adelinde (CH) from about 14 years ago . A truly magnificent technique that is well worth trying!

In a preparatory class for the Master Needle Artisan Ute (DE) worked this georgeous interpretation of a painting by Miro on a handpainted canvas using Painters Threads.

Another beautiful interpretation for the Master Needle Artisan set project for lesson 2. A delicate interpretation of our little fish using counted thread techniques. We think that Uschy (CH) did a perfect job!
