The Leipzig Akkadian Dictionary (LAD) is a research project at the Saxon Academy of Sciences and Humanities in Leipzig.

Starting in 2025, the 17-year project aims to create a new, up-to-date digital online dictionary of Akkadian.

Mindfulness advice from Babylonia!
In the 7th century letter ABL 219, the Babylonian Bēl-upāq writes to his father Kunâ. At the end of his message he includes an advice that we can all take to heart:
ana mimma kalāmu mala teppušu šulum ramānīka hussu – "In whatever you do, think of your own well-being!"
