Corruption in Kosovo is endemic. Notwithstanding massive international assistance and ad hoc funds transparency and accountability in the judicial system lag far behind. This is an article of mine, I wrote for a research project I am working on behalf of the Pristina-based Kosovo Foundation for Open Society. It is in French though:

Au Kosovo, la corruption est endémique. Elle remonte à la domination ottomane et est aujourd’hui une pratique commune dans toutes les institutions (...)

KOSOVO: Women continue to face discrimination on the labour market [i.e., recruitment mainly in the private sector, promotion, pay, contract length, maternity leave (i.e., Limited access to childcare and flexible working arrangements) and sexual harassment at work), access to finance, ownership of property and access to justice. They are underrepresented, especially in decision-making positions, both in private and public institutions. The situation is even more serious in rural areas.
What do you think? Let's share opinions and experiences. The purpose is of creating a group targeting to ending women discrimination in post-conflict settings and patriarchal societies across the globe. Give your contribution to this initiative!

The conflict in the southern Caucasus is almost completely forgotten in the West. Armenia and Azerbaijan compete for their control of the Nagorno-Karabach territory. Their mutual enmity turned into a new conflict in the last few days. Turkey and Russia play a geopolitcal role in the conflict, and Israel too.
- What are the major powers that play a desisive role in the Nagorno-Karabach conflict?
- Where do the largest number of Armenians live in Europe?
- What other country, besides the 4 major regional powers, supports Azerbaijan and for what reason?
- What is Putin's attitude towards the conflict?

Do you want to know more about it? Do you need a research paper thereupon? Just write me and I will do it for you at a reasonable price.
