KUALA LUMPUR 2016 🇲🇾
Straight from the Street Dealin Festival in Jakarta, Indonesia, my buddy NILKO WHITE / LOVELETTERS and I headed over to Malaysia, where our friends from DISTRICT were already waiting for us to spend a colourful week together in this crazy melting pot.
We already knew KATUN_ and BEE from our trip to Tahiti and could tell from day one that we were definitely riding the same wave.
Kuala Lumpur is not only huge – it’s also damn humid. After a day of sightseeing at the 43-meter-high statue of the Hindu god Lord Murugan, and our first encounter with the gangs of thieving monkeys all over the place, it was time to head back into the city. There were plenty of grey walls waiting for us.
Together with the whole gang around Katun and Bee, we basically spent the entire time running around with paint.
Unfortunately, after a few days I got hit by a pretty bad fever and some serious stomach pain, which kept me in bed for two days. None of the pills seemed to help, but luckily the local heroes came to the rescue and told me:
“Try young coconut water.”🥥🌴
A few hours later, I was back on my feet.
That’s something you need to know first. 😄 Thanks again for that!
On our second-to-last day, my favourite travel companion – Frau K. – finally arrived in Kuala Lumpur, because we still had another two weeks of island hopping in Thailand ahead of us.
