As part of our Autumn theme we talked about the changes we can see in nature as the season begins to change.
During our discussion the children asked if they can go down to the lake to see the ducks, this created a wonderful opportunity to follow their interests and extend their learning.
Together we looked up fun facts and discovered that ducks like to eat peas sweetcorn rice and oats, so we gathered our ingredients and set of for a walk.
Along the way the children enjoyed observing the natural environment and developing their knowledge and understanding of their world around them. 🍁🍂
