Tuesday July 11, 2017. Sad morning. Time to return to the USA. We have made amazing friendships that will last forever. We had amazing experiences that we will remember forever. We will never be the same. We are going to be better now because of this. To our friends we do not say goodbye, but rather "until I see you again"!

Monday July 10, 2017. Today's side trip was optional since it is such a serious topic. We visited the Munich suburb of Dachau and toured the concentration camp. It was a somber and educational day. Hoping that what was learned here can be applied to their lives today which can be filled with social media bullying and they will be inspired to be the change.

Friday July 7, 2017. We were the guest speakers today in class. They all wanted to know if we liked Trump!! Politics on the 5th grade already!!
Later that night we had our official goodbye dinner. No tears were shed but I'm guessing because we still have a few more days and also there was an after dinner party yet to come.

Wednesday July 5, 2017. Meet the mayor day!! Today we went to the old town hall to meet the mayor. He started by giving us a brief history of the city. Then he went back to work and fed us pizza and drinks, gave us a pin of the crest of the city and let us go in the Dingolfing BMW/Industry museum.

Tuesday July 4, 2017. 🇺🇸🎉. Joint field trip to Passau Germany. The 1 hour bus ride was spent signing American songs. Passau is a city where 3 rivers come together. The 2 main rivers, Donau and Inn are two different colors and they do not mix together immediately. Started at the point where they meet. Walked up to the cathedral. Kids were sent in teams to go through the city on a scavenger hunt. Then we went in the cathedral and listened to a concert of the worlds largest pipe organ. After lunch we climbed the hill to the castle and admired the view before coming home.

Monday July 3, 2017. Side trip to München!!
Took the train to Munich. Walked down the main strip to show everyone the shopping district. Stopped and admired the Rathaus (town hall). Moved our tour to the Hofbräuhaus but did eat there. Instead went to the Augustiner Brew restaurant. After lunch the kids were given a few hours to shop. Met back up and visited the Residenz palace. No bags allowed so Konrad and I waited outside. After the museum we walked to the Englisher Garten. First thing we came across was people surfing in the river! Eventually had a snack under the famous Chinese Tour before heading home.

Friday June 30, 2017. Back in Dingolfing. After homeroom we walked to the local recycling center and learned how Germans have to bring their trash to The center and sort it themselves!! Later that night we got to experience Abi ball!! (German graduation ceremony).

Wednesday June 28, 2017. After breakfast we toured through Meersburg for a few hours and then we took a boat ride across the lake to Konstanz Germany on the Swiss boarder and had a guided tour there which ended at a very beautiful church.

Tuesday June 27, 2017. Part 2 of 2. Side trip!!! Left early in the morning. First stop was Lindau Germany. We walked around for a few hours. Then got on a boat to cross the Bodensee (Lake Constance) and landed in Bregenz Austria. There we took the cable car up the Pfänder mountain. After that we went to Meersburg Germany to our hotel and then walked down to dinner. Then they jumped into the lake!!

Tuesday June 27, 2017. Part 1 of 2. Side trip!!! Left early in the morning. First stop was Lindau Germany. We walked around for a few hours.
