💛 Was du tun kannst:
• Eine ruhige Einschlafumgebung schaffen (dunkel, leise, konstant).
• Eine Einschlafroutine einführen (z. B. Stillen, Wiegen, Singen).

Ever noticed your baby getting super fussy in the evening – crying, feeding non-stop, and nothing seems to help?
You’re not alone. This is known as “the witching hour”, and it’s totally normal.

✨ When?
Usually between 5 PM and 11 PM, especially during the first 6–8 weeks.

✨ Why does it happen?
• Baby is overtired 😴
• Needs to cluster feed 🍶
• Nervous system is still developing 🧠
• Too much stimulation from the day 🌆
• Tummy discomfort or gas 💨

✨ What can help?
• Dim lights & lower noise 🌙
• Skin-to-skin or babywearing 🤱
• Feeding on demand 🍼
• White noise or rocking sounds 🎶
• Taking turns & asking for support 💛

🤍 You’re doing an amazing job. The witching hour can feel endless, but it really does pass.

I just went through this experience with my third baby…. And I know it’s tough and how it feels like.

The truth is, babies cry for a variety of reasons when they wake up, and understanding these triggers can help you respond in a way that soothes them and supports better sleep habits over time.

👉🏻 Let’s break down the six most common reasons why babies wake up crying intensely—and what you can do about it. Read our blog and our offers to help you through different stages @ www.sleepystar.net

What to keep in mind when swaddling:

Only swaddle newborns – stop swaddling once your baby starts trying to roll over!

Hip-friendly wrapping: Leave enough room for the legs to stay in a natural "frog" position – important for healthy hip development.

Don’t wrap too tightly – your baby must be able to breathe freely.

Swaddle only for sleep times, not throughout the day.

Use breathable fabrics to avoid overheating. The is highly recommended

SwaddlCosyMe be a real game changer – when done right. 💛

What if…
• we prioritized good sleep for our babies, children and us as parents?

• when we as parents take responsibility for our babies’ and children’s healthy sleep, just as we strive to give them healthy and nutritious food
• we believed that babies can sleep well?
• we believed that it’s healthy for children (toddler and up) to sleep through the night in one bed, without getting up to look for another bed or something to eat?
• when we believe that our children are capable of learning how to sleep
• we admitted to having a sleep problem?
• we asked for sleep coaching as a gift instead of material things?

🍼 6 Reasons for Longer Nursing Intervals in Babies
Why giving your baby a little more time between feeds can benefit both of you—physically, emotionally, and developmentally.

1️⃣ Better digestion & satiety
Babies need time to fully digest their milk and feel truly full.

2️⃣ Healthier sleep patterns
Longer breaks can support longer naps and deeper nighttime sleep.

3️⃣ Protects mom’s breasts
Less strain on ni***es and reduced risk of overproduction or blocked ducts.

4️⃣ More effective feeding
A hungry baby nurses more efficiently and thoroughly.

5️⃣ Access to fatty hindmilk
Only longer, focused nursing sessions let baby reach the rich, creamy milk at the end of a feed.

6️⃣ Smooth transition to solids
Hunger cues become clearer, making it easier to introduce new foods later.

Still wondering whether our sleep consultation can help you and your baby get restful nights? Then read this review.:

Steffi guided us wonderfully! Even though you can find countless baby sleep plans online, you quickly realize how valuable professional support truly is. We were especially impressed by her in-depth expertise. The fact that Steffi regularly applies and tests her knowledge in her job as a baby nurse gives you a sense of security and trust—especially when the first few days might be challenging. I never would have thought that sleep training could work so well, but our baby is now sleeping great and getting the rest they need. Thank you so much, dear Steffi!
