We hope that most of you already arrived savely in Cologne and got to know the city and your study colleagues.
In case you haven‘t had the chance to meet anyone or attend the Welcome meeting, the Fachschaft (student council) organizes a rally on 15 October, where you play games and can get to know the city and other IMES students. For everyone interested: We meet at 3pm at the Mensa (close to the Biozentrum & Zülpicher Straße).

The Law Society of Ireland is proposing a Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) on Environmental Law and Climate Change for free.

When? Starting on Tuesday 18 May 2021 over a 5-week period.

What? This year’s MOOC will provide participants with a comprehensive guide to the key legal and ethical issues affecting the environment and the climate.

It will examine many hot topics including:

· Climate change- international/EU/national obligations

· Climate Bill 2021

· Climate Justice

· Environmental law enforcement

· Ecocide and green crime

· Resource management legislation and the circular economy

· Renewable energy laws

· Sustainable planning for the environment
