Create more mindfulness for your life!
Mindfulness means e.g. focusing on the here and now (awareness), accepting what life is presenting to you without judgement, while reflecting your habits and thoughts. Wow, that is a lot, isn't it! Yes, and no. So, how can you become more mindful?
1) Acknowledge that you might not be aware (mindful) all the time - this is already showing awareness.
2) Focus on your breathing. Sometimes when we are stressed we forget to breath. Anytime you are stressed take a moment and just breath in and out in your own pace.
3) Focus on your body. Practice some body work, e.g. yoga, each day in order to you actually feel yourself - and try to focus on which muscles you feel and how your heart is beating.
These simple steps are a first great start to implement some mindfulness into your daily routine.
Last weekend, I participated a clinical training on TSY (Trauma Sensitive Yoga) at Berlin's Academy for integrative Trauma with the German TSY specialist Dagmar Haerle. The workshop wasn't just an amazing training, it also reminded me on how important it is to implement and practice mindfulness and yoga as often as possible. This is why I now shared these thoughts with all of you.
