The other day during a coaching session I invited my client who recently started her coaching journey to reflect on her Personal Growth story of the past years.

Not a word…

I see her thinking… searching to the back of her mind and she says “I’m here because I haven’t grown in the past months. So the answer is I have no story to tell.” 💔

I hear that often, because my job and purpose is to help you accelerate your personal growth and give purpose to your life experience when you’re feeling stuck.

But let me tell you:

👉🏼 YOU DO GROW, even if it doesn’t feel like it. Even if your critical ego state says otherwise or tells you it’s not enough.

👉🏼 YOU DO GROW. Even if you’re not where or who you want to be… YET.

👉🏼 YOU DO GROW. Even if you are feeling stuck. Because the simple fact of realizing your stuck or on autopilot IS self awareness and self awareness is growth per se.

So I invited my client to think about all the tiny ways personal growth can show up in her life and she realized how much she’s achieved already.

With that new level of love and acceptance we’ll continue her journey and take her to the next level 🌱

Summer is coming to an end, we’re all pumped up, ready to crush our goals, taking new resolutions, kicking ass… 🚀

but as I discuss with people around I feel so many of us are already tired and stressed out.

Mood on the 1 Year Anniversary of losing my job because of the Pandemic 👀

I remember feeling sad for about... no more than 40 minutes, after I realized that:

• I am privileged to have financial security and a great support system around me

• It’s the sign I was waiting for to finally make room for more purpose into my life

• I have me. A decade of personal growth and inner work that made me well aware of who I am, what I want and what I am capable of.

So I hugged myself, embraced my feelings (all of them, especially sadness, anger and fear) and asked myself “How can I make things happen?”

Let me tell you straight, the first thing on the roadmap was a few weeks of chill and meditation (and lockdown life) 😴

Here I am today, sitting at my desk reflecting on everything that I accomplished in this year of time.

Getting ICF certified, creating a business that keeps growing every month, meeting beautiful people, helping my clients to level up their lives & businesses, relaxing, overcoming a s**t load of stress and imposter syndrome, finding the next corporate adventure I will start in May, honoring my body, consolidating my inner world... Earning twice the salary I had a year ago all while doing what brings me the most joy in the world 🤯

Let’s keep it real, I often feel it’s not enough, I shouldn’t rest, I should do more.

But today I’m like “HEY GIRL, YOU’RE ONE BADASS LADY!” 💃🏻

To be honest, when I first heard these - it sounded rude to me 😟

Then I’ve read that quote : “Boundaries are the distance at which I can love you and me simultaneously” and my mind opened up!

Here is what Psychologist Dr. Nicole LePera (.holistic.psychologist ) says about boundaries and why we fear of upsetting people when we set them...

One of the most common questions I get in my community is: “How can I place boundaries without upsetting people?”

The answer is: you can’t.

People who haven’t been modeled boundaries + who don’t place boundaries in their own lives can become highly emotionally activated when we place them.

They might tell us we’re being “selfish” or attempt to shame or guilt us. This is important feedback on their level of emotional maturity.

Sometimes when I’m setting boundaries, I feel fear + my desire to people please coming up. This is all just part of the practice.

Some reminders as you set boundaries:

1️⃣ Boundaries are for YOU to set your own limits not to control or demand the behavior of another person

2️⃣ People who are attempting to control or demand things from you as you set are showing their own wounding. Practice holding the boundary without engaging in over-explaining or arguing your ‘side.’

3️⃣ Boundaries free us from feelings of resentment + being taken advantage of.

4️⃣ Women are conditioned from childhood to please + to be ‘polite’ that can make boundaries feel incredibly scary. This is all part of the process of releasing past conditioning + becoming your authentic self.

5️⃣ You are not responsible for the emotional state of others. You are responsible for your own emotions + how you respond to them

Vision Boards, dreams and plans are nice, but ... 😬

One essential step is to make 👏🏼 things 👏🏼 happen. The good news is you have all it takes!

Seeing how much progress my clients are making when they consciously decide to take action is the best thing in the world. Not for me, for them. They own their success and they deserve every bits of it.

Their goals become mine, we are a team, we don’t let each other down.

That’s how a deep and long lasting transformation happens.
