Dance4Water Prague

To all our Students, Friends and Volunteers.

It is with sorry to announce that we are closing the Dance4Water Prague.
This year we continue lacking conditions to resume the regular classes and we decided to transfer all the funds we had to kick off a season.

Since 2012…
- This project had the contribution of 74 volunteers that worked passionately to deliver the best lessons, and make charity fun.
- We organized one international 4water congress in Prague, and were in the process to organize the largest one to date (for 150 volunteers) until Covid forced the cancellation.
- We had many lessons with over 100 students attending, and, although it is impossible to say how many different students we had overall, it is likely measured in the thousands.
- We started teaching in a decommissioned caffeteria, and grew to compete in European Championship of Rueda de Casino (Stuttgart 2017) finishing in 5th out of 8.
- We had up to 4 dance styles, lessons 3 days a week, and cooperated with many various dance projects, events and venues.
- Our teachers delivered workshops as Dance4Water in Berlin, Copenhagen, Linz, Lyon, Glasgow and many cities in the Czech Republic.
- While doing this, we actively helped multiple ongoing WaterAid projects by raising money to allow access to water for communities in need.

Although Dance4Water Prague will not continue for now, it is a pleasure to see that our volunteers are still improving Prague dance community by sharing the passion in many ways.
You can still find many 4water projects around the world wide, supported by the friends you see in the picture of the international community.

In attachment we share the thank you letter from WaterAid, as well as the last donation certificate.

I personally thank you each and every volunteer, student and supporter that helped this project during all these years.

4) It's Salsa + Bachata from 3 projects = Familia, DanceDifferent, Dance4Water = projects that are linked from the very beginning because they were founded by the same heroine, our supermom ❤

Dear all.
Dance4Water Prague is a project that depends on volunteer availability.
At the moment we are not able to start the season and deliver the dancing lessons with the regularity and quality we wish for.
For that reason, we decided to not open regular classes for now. 🙁
We will seek to keep the project alive knowing that our current capabilities are limited. So we will do charity and improve the Prague Dance community in the ways we can .
We invite you to follow us so you can follow the news as they come.
These students who purchased 10X passes via card can obtain a reimbursement of the unused lessons. We will handle reimbursements until the end of 2022. If you wish to do so please contact us at [email protected] so we can map your voucher with the card transaction used to buy it.

Dance4Water Prague je projekt závislý na dostupnosti dobrovolníků.
V tuto chvíli nejsme schopni zahájit sezónu a poskytovat taneční lekce s pravidelností a kvalitou, jakou bychom si přáli.
Z tohoto důvodu jsme se rozhodli, že prozatím nebudeme otevírat běžné kurzy. 🙁
Budeme se snažit udržet projekt při životě s vědomím, že naše současné schopnosti jsou omezené. Budeme tedy dělat charitu a zlepšovat komunitu Taneční Prahy tak, jak to půjde.
Zveme vás, abyste nás sledovali, abyste věděli o všech novinkách, jakmile přijdou.
Studenti, kteří si zakoupili 10 vstupů jako permanentku přes kartu, mohou získat náhradu za nevyužité lekce. Úhrady budeme vyřizovat do konce roku 2022. Chcete-li tak učinit, kontaktujte nás na adrese [email protected], abychom mohli vyhledat vaši transakci kartou použitou k nákupu permanentky.

Milí tanečníci, děkujeme Vám za podporu i když nemohly proběhnout všechny lekce, z důvodu různých komplikací. Teď si všichni dáme letní pauzu a pak to zase ROZTANČÍME! Jsme rádi, že nám zachováváte přízeň. Těšíme se, že se i přes léto někde potkáme a zatančíme si. Děkujeme že pomáháte dobré věci s Dance4Water.
