AEP: Academic Experience in Prague

We were so lucky to spend last weekend in Krakow, Poland with our Spring’26 cohort!🇵🇱
We visited the Auschwitz-Birkenau Memorial, which was a very powerful and important experience for all of us. The rest of the weekend was spent walking around Krakow, exploring the Old Town and the Kazimierz District, and learning more about the city’s rich history. We also enjoyed super beautiful weather, which made the whole trip even better. 🏰🥟☀️

Our first activity of the semester was an enameling workshop at Smalterie. We had an amazing time learning how to paint with enamel and created our own handmade souvenir from Prague to bring back home 🎨🧑‍🎨

Our Spring 2026 students have finished their first week of intensive Czech classes and are settling into life in Prague 🌸🇨🇿 Before regular classes start on Monday, we took some time to celebrate the start of the semester with a Welcome Reception boat cruise on the Vltava. We enjoyed lunch, stunning city views, and even got to bask in some very welcome February sunshine. Prague is truly magical from the water! 🚢✨

Wrapping up orientation week with a day trip to Český Krumlov 🇨🇿
We started with a traditional Czech lunch, then explored the town, learned a bit of its history and climbed the castle tower for the views.
Such a nice way to finish a busy week - discovering another part of the Czech Republic and spending time together outside of Prague. 🏰
