Moderní Square Dance není „klasika“ ani tělocvik – je to hravý tanec, který tě pobaví, rozhýbe a přivede mezi nové lidi.

🔹 Co to vlastně je?
Square Dance (SD) je moderní skupinový tanec, který se tančí ve čtveřicích – tzv. „square“.
Na rozdíl od běžných tanců se ale netančí podle pevně dané choreografie. Místo toho caller – lektor přímo během hudby říká, co dělat, a tanečníci reagují.
Každý tanec je tedy originál a vzniká „na místě“ – z jednoduchých pohybových figur.

📣 Všechny figury mají své názvy a jsou stejné po celém světě – takže se můžeš později zúčastnit i mezinárodních tanečních setkání!

🔹 Pro koho je kurz určený?
✅ Pro každého od 12 do 80 let
✅ Pro ty, kdo si chtějí užít pohyb, hudbu, smích a přátelství
✅ Pro úplné začátečníky – není třeba partner ani předchozí zkušenosti
✅ Pro ty, kteří hledají pravidelnou aktivitu, ale nechtějí výkonnostní sport

I am absolutely disgusted that someone in Germany would organize a special dance event in support of Russia and Russian square dance clubs. I am deeply disappointed in those I know who are not ashamed to be part of the program of this appalling event.

(New) Plus Program Teaching Order
Implementation Date: September 1, 2026

CALLERLAB is pleased to announce that the Plus Committee has approved two key updates that will guide future instruction for the Plus Program.

1.New Recommended Plus Teaching Order Adopted
Committee members voted to adopt an updated teaching order for the (new) Plus Program.This revised sequence is intended to support clearer, more consistent instruction for dancersand callers.

2.Minimum Instructional Time Established
The committee also approved a new recommendation that the Plus Program calls be taughtin no less than 40 hours of instruction (20 two-hour classes or 27 ninety-minute classes).

Next Steps
The new Plus List will take effect September 1, 2026.
The committee will now begin work on a new Plus Instructional Guide/Playbook to support callers in applying these updates.
