In our company, we would like to see cities a little greener. We are proud of the Czech Republic, which stood at the head of the European Union during the past six months during the war period, but also during the tough negotiations on green policy, on the future of all of us. Today, our country also received praise from the Vice-President of the European Commission, Frans Timmermans. We are glad that this is the case and that European thinking is gradually evolving from doubts about the existence of global climate change to real steps that can slow down the changes. We believe that the path to a truly sustainable future is still possible only with the use of the most modern technologies.
When we were approached by the municipality of the capital city of Prague to go to the Smart City Expo and Congress Barcelona, it became clear to us that our outdoor systems, which we offer in "vegetables as a service" mode, are not suitable for markets thousands of kilometers away. We therefore decided to introduce an indoor educational farm. The one with acceptable dimensions, environmental requirements and price can be an effective educational tool for all pupils over the age of 10.
Barcelona is a wonderful and very inspiring city. My colleagues and I said that if we ever had to move somewhere from Prague, our choice would be Barcelona. Well, the Smart City Expo and Congress Barcelona is a fabulous event that you may not have heard of yet. This will bring together several thousand innovators from all over the world and they will share various technologies and practices that can improve life in cities. The 21st century is said to be the century of cities, as more than 60% of our planet's population already lives in urban areas. However, this percentage is still growing. It is therefore great that cities are already inspiring each other. We thank our Prague for taking us with it. Several other Czech companies exhibited together with us on the spot, and we just stared at how many progressive ideas our small country can generate. Once again, thank you so much for letting us be a part of it. Well, what if we actually showed it there?
Do you remember how back in elementary school the flowers you planted usually only grew during the summer holidays? Most of our team are teachers by profession, so it is clear to us that practical teaching is the most important thing. In our school farm, plants will grow several times during the school year. The farm is also modular and students can set many parameters under the guidance of teachers. In cooperation with the Czech educational authorities, we designed several lessons of different levels of difficulty for the mobile application. This makes the farm a textbook, a teacher and a sandbox for learning 21st century standards. So, if you know of a school where they would like to include natural science and environmental studies more practically, don't hesitate and tell them that we are here.
