What if your most exhausting inner voice once protected you 🕯️
Yesterday we celebrated Hromnice (2.2.), the Czech twin of Imbolc.
The light is slowly coming back 🌱
During a New Year meditation with my friend Jen, I met my controller.
The part of me that worries about everything I cannot control.
Family. Work. The world.
I’ve known this pattern since childhood.
And instead of fighting it, I did something different.
I thanked it.
For protecting me.
For being there when I needed safety.
Acceptance doesn’t erase old programs.
But it can be the first step to loosening their grip.
And that feels very Imbolc ✨
Have you ever thanked one of your shadow parts?
The critic. The controller. The perfectionist.
Or is there one inner role that keeps showing up for you lately.
Share if you want. Or just notice it for yourself 💛

WHY do I create Ladies’ Evening – women’s evenings with English?
Because in the everyday rush, we often forget how to slow down.
Because we spend so much time in our heads, in tasks and roles — and so little time in our bodies and in the present moment.
Because speaking English doesn’t have to be a performance, but can become a way to connect.
Because women need a safe space where nothing needs to be proven.
Because sharing, silence, breath, and honest words can be more healing than a perfect plan.
And because I truly believe that real change is born in gentleness, slowness, and human connection 🌿
On Wednesday, January 28, we’ll meet again forLadies’ Evening – A Mindful English Circle.

An evening inspired by the end of winter, the approaching Imbolc, and the returning light — a time when we don’t yet need to have clarity, but can begin listening to what wants to grow within us 🌕🌱

What awaits us:
✨ a calm women’s circle
✨ gentle mindfulness and somatic practice
✨ reflection and sharing in English (no pressure, no correcting)
✨ space to breathe, slow down, and simply be yourself
📍 Where: Rodinné a komunitní centrum Jablíčkov– Murmanská branch
(Murmanská 1245/15, Prague)

🕯 When: Wednesday, January 28 | 7:00–9:30 PM

Po delší době se otevírá pár míst v anglickém kroužku pro děti. Zvu všechny zvídavé předškolní děti, které se chtějí učit angličtinu přirozeným a zábavným způsobem 🙂

"No" vember 🍂💛 LAST CALL

November reminds me that slowing down is not a luxury. It is a choice. A way of taking care of ourselves when life expects a lot and our bodies quietly say, I need a break.

I have been letting go of old patterns that keep me rushing from one task to another. Patterns that turn days into a hamster wheel. Instead I am practicing something different.

✨ saying no to what drains me
✨ saying yes to what feels good
✨ protecting my energy before it is gone

This is the intention I am bringing into Ladies Evening this Wednesday at 7 PM in Prague 10
A gentle English circle for women who want to pause, breathe, and reconnect through mindful conversation. 🌿💬

What awaits you:
• mindfulness and reflection
• meaningful English conversation
• a simple letting go ritual
• tea, wine and cosy connection ☕🍷

If you feel the pull, this is the last call to join. 💛 Link in comments
How do you slow down before winter?

Have you ever stepped into your power?

Last weekend, I co-facilitated a women’s retreat. My very first one in English:)
I’ve created many workshops, women’s circles, and mindful events over the years, but never a whole retreat from start to finish.

Together with my dear friend Jen, we held space for women to reconnect with their creative energy, tune into their bodies and nature through mindful movement and spiritual herbalism, and use tarot as a mirror for self-reflection.

Throughout the weekend, I felt a deep sense of connection and gratitude.
Even when I was guiding others, I found myself learning about trust, flow, vulnerability, and how slowing down can spark creativity and growth.

Before arriving, some women shared their fears:
✨ Will I manage to express myself in English?
✨ Can I truly open myself to creativity?

As the weekend unfolded, those fears softened. English became just a bridge; a tool for connection rather than a barrier. Conversations deepened, laughter flowed, and hearts opened.

We discovered that the path to self-healing often leads through creativity, presence, and community.

I honestly never imagined I could co-create something so transformative and feel so proud, grateful, and completely exhausted all at once.

I’m still integrating and digesting all that happened, but one thing is clear: this is just the beginning.
💫 The next Creative Pause Retreat is already in motion — April 24–26.
Save the date, and stay tuned for more details soon.

✨ What helps you reconnect with your creative energy?

People often say:
👉 “I don’t need English lessons — I already know English.”

Sure. But just like a muscle, if you don’t use it, you lose it. 💪

One of my new students said it beautifully:

“I want a space to express myself freely and keep my English alive — with like-minded women.”

Language is connection.
Confidence grows with practice. 🌿

💛 When was the last time you gave your English a good stretch?
And where do you feel most confident using it?

👵👵👵What did the Grandmas say?

Grandma 1: “It’s windy today!” 🌬️
Grandma 2 (she thought she heard “It’s Wednesday”): “No, it’s not. It’s Thursday!” 📅
Grandma 3 (she thought she heard “I’m thirsty”): “So am I! Let’s go get a beer.” 🍺
😂 Misunderstandings like this happen when we don’t listen actively.
Too often, we just wait for our turn to reply—or hear only what we expect to hear.

In language learning (and in life!), active listening is the real superpower.
✨ It connects.
✨ It prevents “Thursday vs. thirsty” moments.
✨ It helps you truly understand.

As a language coach, I’ve seen how powerful it is when learners feel listened to—not just corrected. That’s when confidence grows. That’s when English starts working for you, not against you.

👉 Imagine how your English would feel if someone really listened to you, instead of just waiting for you to finish.

💬 So here’s my challenge:

Next time you’re in any conversation, ask yourself—
Are you listening to understand, or just to answer?
