This is not a drill! There is no meeting today. If you are sad, read this article and think about two arguments and types of debate you can use the ideas from this article for. This is one of the most useful debate article I have read in long time. Very thought provoking.

Hello, as the exam period starts this Monday we are taking a holiday-break. There will be no regular meetings from this Monday on up until September.

We might make a meeting or two if there is enough of a popular demand but nothing regular. It's time to take some time off.

The following two practice meetings are going to be devoted to pre-tournament trainings. There is the Czech and Slovak University Debate Championship this week and then another tournament in Vienna the week after. We intend to attend both tournaments and represent our society with dignity :) Join us in preparations!

Tomorrow's meeting starts at 19:30 as usual at Rajska Budova, room 104. There is no event published due to technical reasons.

Final motions of Copenhagen Open 2016 is "We would, if we were the person X, leave the cult." That is going to be interesting to watch!

The VSE team got to the finals of this year's Brno Open: Debate Tournament from the first place after preliminary rounds, ended up 2nd after finals, and Petra was awarded the best speaker award.

You can meet Martin and Petra every Monday at our practice meetings where they host debates, participate or run debate workshops.

On Friday starts Brno Open 2016, one of rare possibilities to compete locally (in Czech/Slovak only). It is possible to sign up as a team or as an individual. Great opportunity to improve your debating skills. Accomodation: at local debaters. Fee: 200 CZK (meal included)

Registration for Warsaw EUDC is now open. It closes at 23.59 (GMT) on 16 February.
