Jetplane Jean Stories of the travel and misadventures along the way. Photography tutorials to come. Currently living out a life-long dream in New York City.

Jetplane Jean started off as a way to share all the strange things that happen on the road, whether you're prepared for it or not. In addition, my 7 years of being a professional photographer and training at Hallmark Institute h

In absolute AWE of this article. I've always been fascinated in the other ways people live and this humming community beneath the surface of China where everyone from the elderly, to disabled, to broke college kids have taken up residence.

What do you think?

Beneath the streets of Beijing, people live in an underground universe constructed during the Cold War era.

If you managed to make it through my emotional post on visiting the tulip fields in the Netherlands last week, it was a long one and I applaud you.

I wanted to include more technical information on how to get to where we went, what tickets to buy, should you skip Keukenhof, etc yet it felt a bit strange after all the crying I did while creating that post. Instead, I've made an entirely different one with all the information you need if you're considering visiting Amsterdam in the near future, or just want to see way more photos of the beautiful tulips.

Have you been before? If not, would you rather bike the tulip fields or take a stroll through the beauty of Keukenhof? Let me know!

A guide on when to visit the tulips in Amsterdam, what ticket to buy, photo-worthy tulip fields, and if Keukenhof is worth a visit.

After two years of living in one of the most chaotic cities, I wrote a few things about what it's like to survive in such a place. Has it made me a bad traveler? Is the fierce competition getting to me? I love this city, but am I in love with all that comes with it?

Here I am, two years into living in New York City and finally feeling comfortable, perhaps too much so, in this place. The chaos blends into the background

What happens when one of your bucket list destinations falls a bit short? I attended Chiang Mai's Yi Peng lantern festival last year and found it to be more chaotic than serene, as many pictures promised. Is this just how it always is? Would you go? I'd love to hear your thoughts.

Watching the night sky fill with thousands of balls of light, the Yee Peng/Yi Peng lantern festival in Thailand is something you see on many bucket lists. A beautiful, emotional event celebrated by the masses. Yet when we arrived at the crowded bridge, it was a complete nightmare in a way I hadn't a...

Has anyone started watching the Deuce? Little did I know that was the name for a part of Times Square in the 70's because it was THAT nasty! Here's a neat little look into what life was like back then:
